    Amount request for refund $1,381.94 which is for parts & labor that were recommended would fix the issue but did not.
    Rons Automotive was contacted several times. They did attempt to repair, however, none of the repairs fixed the issue as they said it would.

    Dear BBB,

    I had every intention of replying to this complaint via postal mail, but it has come to my attention that the time frame for the business's response has now passed, and now the complaint is closed. Here is some information regarding the vehicle and customer. 

    This customer came into Ron's Automotive Center with a check engine light on, and as we diagnosed the vehicle, I made it extremely clear to the customer that because the car had multiple issues, that we would start with the first repair and continue working on the vehicle if that did not rectify the issue. (His primary concern was the engine light). We had to start at the most obvious vehicle issue. At no point was it a guarantee that the car's engine light wouldn't return. 

    I contacted the customer after I knew he was unhappy with the initial repair and told him to please bring the vehicle back to Ron's, so we could evaluate the issue further. I clearly said that I would look at the car again at his convenience, any time. Following that correspondence is when he reported to the BBB.

    We cannot and did not guarantee that the engine light would not illuminate further after any repair. All our repairs are noted on legitimate invoices, which the BBB can choose to view at any time. This vehicle is from 1998 and had various problems. Myself and my colleagues also worked on this car, without charging the customer, to try to diagnose and replicate the engine light issue. 

    Please note this as a response to this customer's complaint. No refund will be issued at this time. Ron's Automotive Center prides itself on taking care of its customers and their vehicles every day. We aim to repair vehicles and make our customers happy, unfortunately this customer was not pleased after our attempts to make things right.
