On 10/27/22 I had a surgical extraction of an erupted tooth. Before I even had the procedure, I was asked for my debit card and required to pay $1176.00, the full amount for the procedure, which I thought was odd but didn't protest. On 11/10/22 I returned to have stitches removed and asked the technician about a credit I felt was due, based on insurance payment reports that had come to me. She looked at my account and said I was due $794. She would confirm that amount and telephone me. She didn't. A couple of weeks later, I called the practice's billing extension and asked again: how much, and when will I receive it. I didn't get a call back. On 11/29/22 I spoke with the front desk person and explained my situation. She confirmed the amount, took my debit card number and said she would run the credit personally that night and call me to confirm. She didn't, and the credit has not been posted to my account. This has moved from annoying to suspicious. They have been paid in full for more than a month, plus they received insurance payments, yet they do not return what is owed to me. This has been unacceptable right from the time they demanded full payment up front, not just a copay. Something isn't right here.

This complaint has been resolved as of December 2nd. The refund due me was posted to my bank account this morning, whether as a result of the BBB's intervention or my persistent requests for resolution, I don't know. In any event, thank you for your help.
