    Mike recently provided some electrical work to our rental property. A fairly minor job but he was quickly on site to triage the job and coordinated with Eversource the following day to solve the issue. Having never met him before he was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. I will definitely use him again. Thanks Mike

    Mike is the best contractor I hired during my entire home renovation. He was always on time, communicated with me consistently and did a thorough and detailed job throughout. Mike did an entire service entry cable install, new electrical panel, installed timers, installed outlets and switches throughout the house, traced non-working switches and lights back to their error points and corrected them and so much more. His rate is fair, and his work is excellent. I will continue to call Mike for any and all electrical needs because I feel he is always working to give me the same results he would want for himself. After spending multiple afternoons with Mike, I am confident that I will be recommending him to anyone I know who needs a reliable, efficient and knowledgeable electrician. Thank you Mike!

    Mike Cortese earned a 5-star rating from my family. We hired him to improve our 1950s-era home in *********** ** and could not be any happier with the experience. He worked on a variety of projects related to home safety, updates and conveniences:
    • Evened out the circuit loads in the fuse box, so we’re unlikely to overload a fuse
    • Consolidated several lamps to operate on one conveniently located switch, and replaced the leftover switches with face-plates
    • Installed dimmable can lights in the living room
    • He replaced the ancient bath fan with a nice new quiet one that doubles as a ceiling light
    • Installed new GFCI outlets in the bathroom and kitchen
    • Moved the wall-mounted bathroom lamp from one wall to another
    • Installed a variety of types of smoke detectors in all the appropriate areas of the home
    The process of doing electrical work, turning power off and on, and having a stranger in the house, could have caused a great deal of distress for my family, due to medical issues. But it didn’t, because throughout the entire process, Mike Cortese was courteous, easy-going, flexible and professional. He kept showing up, on time, and got the whole list done.

    I highly recommend Michael Cortese for any of your electrical needs. We recently purchased a house built in 1954 in Wallingford which needed many electrical updates which wasn’t an easy job. Michael was able to fix all of the problems in our house and even threaded wires from the attic through the walls to hide television wires. He was always prompt, courteous and reasonably priced. We will use Michael for all of our future electrical needs.
