    His Response seems to be that I was told that it would be cash only and it was not, he makes up a total lie and when I spoke to the police dept. regarding Untouchable Towing they admitted that the company is a known problem in their town.  I was there with another person that heard the entire conversation.  Just the fact that the driver seems to be thinking I am just walking away to go to a diner is crazy.  When I was walking to a Bank ATM, which was the only thing open at that time in the morning.

    This company is a bad business and the owner feeds upon people.  They only take care not even a cash app if not a credit card.  People do not walk around with that kind of cash on them and then threaten to take the car back to their shop until resolved.

    They are a problem, where BBB knows it or not. His response below here does not make any sense, I, the customer was only advised when we arrive at the location 6 minutes away of the amount it would cost and that it would be cash.  I only called one company, Untouchable and they led me to believe that they were the only towing company that could tow my car just off this highway.  He again seems to state that I knew the amount or that it would be cash only and that is a lie as I would have said no to that knowing I had no cash on me, but had credit cards.  That is how I paid for 2 new tires with no issues.  So  BBB, believe the liar and he will continue over and over again.

    prior to coming and prior to picking up. He proceded to yell at me and call me derogitory names and said he will instruct the driver to take it back to his shop for additional fees. I said I am going to call the police.

    I was lucky that another person with me in the car was able to go to an ATM get cash out for me at 8 am in the morning there was no bank open to get cash from a credit card. If they were not there, I would be completely stuck and not able go to work.

    My main complaint is that I was not informed of the cash only before the tow and the amount to be towed. These are severe issues in communications and I was not able to do anything once they had my car on there truck.

    For nonconsensual towing, different rates and charges apply depending on the gross vehicle weight rating of the towed vehicle.

    1. light duty tow (i.e., for vehicles less than 10,000 lbs.);
    2. medium duty tow (i.e., for vehicles ranging from 10,000 to 26,000 lbs.); and
    3. heavy duty tow (i.e., for vehicles over 26,000 Lb.

    The equipment taken was a dry van trailer and the category trailer is medium duty and we being targeted as heavy duty.

    1. for a light duty tow, the maximum base charge increased by $17, from $88 to $105;
    2. for a medium duty tow the maximum hourly rate increased by $40, from $200 to $240; and
    3. for a heavy duty tow the maximum hourly rate increased by $65, from $325 to 390.

    We being charged $390 instead of 240 which by Connecticut law is not the right amount.

    complainant came in under the assumption his trailer is a medium duty trailer and wanted to be charged due to trailer not being loaded. the trailer itself needs to be connected to air - which only heavy duty trailers require the trailer is also registered as a heavy duty trailer. regardless of loaded or not the trailer is larger than a medium duty wrecker can handle along with the requirements (air to trailer) The police also came to our facility and told the complainant the same thing
