In February, my wife and I both visited the Splash Car Wash facility in ********** **., and were offered "the monthly special" by an attendant. He said that for one price we could have unlimited washes through the end of the month. I asked the attendant a number of questions, including "Is this a subscription or recurring monthly charge?" He said, no and reiterated it was good through the end of the month. As I said, both my wife and I accepted the offer on our separate cars.

In reviewing my bank transactions, I was shocked to learn that we have been paying a recurring monthly charge by a vendor that I assume is your business? It comes through as "Splash Fashions" (Gasoline/Fuel) in *********. Also, I am seeing other customers complain about the same issue on **** and ******.

Splash car wash promotes its monthly washes as "Unlimited"--that word is all over the place, at every Splash wash location.

BUT, it is limited: they allow only one wash a day; so, at best, one can have up to 31 washes ONLY a month. My wife washed our car this AM (May 21, 2025); but when I got home, I saw bird droppings on the car, so I took it to Splash. At first, they refused to wash the car, saying --I'm serious--that, by "unlimited" they mean "by the day".

While they were good enough to acknowledge me as a regular customer and to let me wash the car. I feel strongly that the company is misrepresenting the service it's selling by using the word "unlimited" to refer to the number of car washes, instead of a word that represents the truth.

I am extremely disappointed with the detailing service I received. I paid nearly $180 for an interior cleaning, expecting a thorough job given the price and the time they claimed to have spent on my car. However, the results were far from satisfactory.

The car still had dog hair everywhere, lingering odors, and dirt in multiple spots. To make matters worse, I found a dog treat under the front seat, which clearly indicates a lack of attention to detail. Despite their claim of spending over 3 hours on my car, the work appeared to be rushed and incomplete, resembling a quick 25-minute job at best.

For the amount charged, I expected a much higher standard of service. When I returned to the business to express my concerns, the employees lied and told me there was no manager available for me to speak with. This lack of accountability and transparency is unacceptable.

Additionally, I reported the issue to their corporate customer support. The employee I spoke with falsely claimed that I had told him the car was in great condition, when in fact, I had clearly stated that it was still a mess. This dishonest behavior further demonstrates the poor customer service and lack of integrity within the company.

I have been waiting for corporate customer support to handle the issue for over a month. When I asked to speak to a manager, they also claimed they didn't have any overhead, which I believe was another lie.

I am requesting a refund due to the poor quality of the work performed and the dishonest behavior of the staff.

This complaint has also been filed with my bank for a refund, but I'm at the point where small claims pay be the only answer to this.

      thank you

I went to this business in 02/25 for a one time car wash. The employee told me I could pay the same price but receive a month of car washes. I said is this just for this month, and they told me yes. He auto enrolled me into a $27 monthly service without my knowledge. I have called the companies only provided phone number 10 times, multiple times being told I was removed from the enrollment and that billing would refund me. I am still being charged monthly and have apparently not been removed. I keep being told someone will reach out but no one responds via email and I have not received a phone call, refund, or a way to assure that I am removed from their auto enrollment, this company is not transparent in what you are signing up for and seemingly can not get out of.

This car wash was previously owned by Splash. With Splash, I had a monthly membership for unlimited car washes. Splash was sold to **** ******* in December 2024. After being closed for two weeks, it reopened but no longer had vacuum/interior cleaning service, yet the monthly fee was the same. As such, I requested that my membership (which includes a monthly auto-charge to my credit card) be terminated. I wrote down my information and it was given to the manager. I have since been charged every month January - April. I have called multiple times and can not get a response or resolution.

I was charged for a monthly car wash I did not sign up for. I went there once and they charged me every month for six months. They will not stop charging me, even though I have called and asked them to stop. Now I get charges and credits back to my bank account. I want them to stop the charges!

Splash Wash a car is charging me twice for an unlimited car wash monthly fee. One charge is from the SplashCar Wash in *** *** and the other is from the one in ******. I tried to reach out to the main office unsuccessfully because there was no one human being answering the phone and in the end, the answering service just hung up saying they would call me back.

Splash Car Wash last February 2024 did not cancel a one-month promotional offer. I had canceled it in person at their front desk. They then went on to take from my debit card an unauthorized monthly charge for ten months of $74.43. They owe me $740.43. They may also owe me an additional $74.43 for January 2025. I went there after months of not visiting on January 13th and was informed to my shock of this longtime error. The fellow "Greg" said I should cancel it again that day and said the girls at the front desk often did not follow up.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 01/22/2025

I received a curt email from Customer service just now offering me one month $74 of credit , not the $740 charged. They attached my original sign up for the one month promotional of February 2024 and apparently did not find no paperwork for the my in person at the front desk cancellation within the promotional month. This is their "offer" and is entirely unacceptable.

One of our sons, who is a ***, says this probably happens all of the time and unsuspecting people like me, did not check after I verbally in person cancelled something.  I even told this young woman I was cocnerned that it might not get properly cancelled. She said she "checked" and it had all been cancelled. Did I ask for her name, phone number and proof that day. I did not.

What they attached has some of my handwriting and someone else's handwriting with figures on it as their "proof" i signed up for ten months unlimited forever for a service I did not authorize and have never ever  used.

What next?  The local manager earlier today took my call together and said he has nothing to offer. All comes through customer service. I sent this attached email.

Can you assist in resolviing this? I will never ever sign on for any short term promotion of any kind. It is clearly a revenue producing , regularly used gambit, if not outright scam.  That is clear.

I will also go out of my way for people to never use Splash .

      Thanks,

      ******* ****** ******

I am a monthly member for the Splash Car Wash in my town. On November 23rd my car was damaged by machine malfunction. The back wing/spoiler of my SUV was removed by one of the machines. I was then directed to the body shop that the car was uses for repairs. The part for my vehicle was ordered and replaced days later. I had to report back to the body shop days after for a additional part that was not ordered. My car was finally repaired on December 7th. On December 15th I went back to the car wash and my car was damaged again by the same machine, same wing/spoiler of my car was broken once again. I am currently still dealing with having my car repaired. To my knowledge the manager at the car wash is aware of the mechanical failure because the second time my car was damaged, the manager said to me "you were hit at the first part of the wash" and I said yes.

Both incidents with 2 body repairs have diminished the value of my vehicle. The time I have spent going back and forth to the body shop for repairs is a inconvenience and I am seeking compensation. Is there any legal actions I can seek?
