I am rejecting this response because:
I received the invoice/receipt on 1/14/25, secondly when I called to speak with the billing department I was told that I was not able to. After reviewing the receipt the trip charge of $179.00  was charged to my account, it was told the trip charge would be removed if the work was completed.

    Sincerely,

There is no answer to the fact that the trip charge was not removed from my bill after it was understood that it would be.  I would like to review the company's written policy on trip charges.  As any senior or consumer I don't have money to throw away.

The HVAC service provider was called to repair a central AC system. I am a member of a plan where the visit by a technician is included in the membership agreement. The technician stated that the AC cannot be fixed. But still $458 was charged to my credit card . Not clear for what and why?

    Business Response

    Date: 07/16/2024

The amount charged was to add refrigerant to the system. It is currently low on refrigerant and can be fixed by locating the leaking component and replacing it or by replacing the system completely. The system is currently operational but there is no telling how long it will last before leaking out again.

Tricity says paying a monthly maintenance fee entities you to have the furnace/boiler cleaned and makes you a priority customer. This is intended as preventative maintenance. I called to schedule the maintenance/cleaning and they could only schedule out a few months to Dec 15 as the first appointment. They said they would try to move it sooner. They didn't. They require a 5 hour window for the appointment which we made a point to cover. I spoke to them on 12/14 and they confirmed the appointment. They robocalled and confirmed the night of 12/14. At 8a on 12/15 (my appointment window was 8a -1p), they called and cancelled. The claim soonest they could reschedule for me is late January. This is unacceptable. I complained. I called back to complain and was put into voicemail with no name on it. I did not receive a call back. I received an email in the afternoon offering more of the services they aren't providing. I want the service promised ASAP (not in another month) or a refund of the monthly fees I've paid for the last year so I can pay for the service elsewhere.
