I am submitting this complaint regarding services provided by Chimney Pro Bros, also known as Omnipal, in relation to work completed on my chimney.

On September 8, 2024, I hired Chimney Pro Bros to address concerns about the state of disrepair of my chimney. I was informed by the company that my chimney posed a serious risk of carbon monoxide leakage into my home. Additionally, I was advised to shut down my furnace until the chimney was cleaned and repaired. This left my household without hot water for a week. At that time, I had a 15-month-old child and my 74-year-old mother living in my home, making the situation particularly difficult.

The work was completed on September 12, 2024, including the installation of a chimney cap. However, on December 16, 2024, while clearing snow from my driveway, I discovered that the chimney cap on my furnace was missing. After searching my property, I was unable to locate it. I immediately contacted Mike, the primary technician who had completed the work, to report the issue.

As of the writing of this complaint, neither Mike nor any representative from Chimney Pro Bros/Omnipal LLC has come to inspect the chimney for damage or taken steps to cover the flues to prevent further harm from inclement weather. Since discovering the missing cap, it has snowed and rained multiple times, raising serious concerns about potential damage to the chimney and furnace.

Additionally, I have since learned that the company should have obtained a permit before performing work on my chimney. This requirement was not disclosed to me at the time of service, and no permit was obtained to my knowledge.

I am requesting that the Better Business Bureau investigate this matter to ensure that the company addresses its negligence and to prevent other consumers from experiencing similar issues.
