From my recent experience, they have deceitful practices. They changed the service I had scheduled to a more expensive one with the same name without telling me.
Not deceitful, but still bad; all parts used were charged at full retail price rates and any complimentary fluid top-off became a full charge if the technician deemed that the fluid was too low and had to be flushed, all of my fluids (that were applicable) were flushed and refilled.
Scheduled a 30K mileage service because it was recommended when I went to schedule for an oil change online, 30K service estimated cost: $250 (no further description), go to the service, had over my car, the technician explains to me all the things they'll do and parts that will be replace if needed, I sign and wait for 2.5 hours, get called that my car is ready and to talk to the cashier, bill is $640. (30K service is now $440 and the $200 extra is for the parts and fluids)
Later, I ask the cashier to explain to me the bill, he was a nice guy that tried to be helpful, we go over the bill and I say that the service price on the website is $250, he checks and says its actually $235 but, that he can't change anything and to try talking to the technician about redoing the paperwork.
The technician, less helpful, says that because I agreed to it and was told the price when I handed over my car means that he can't change anything. (Note; the price was never verbally mentioned nor the fact that this was a different service than the one I had scheduled, the price was "apparently" written down when I signed a tablet when I handed over my car, a tablet that was mostly a signature box.)
The technician says I can try talking to the service manager during the week, I went on a weekend, tried calling during the week, automated phone redirection gives a list of departments to call, "Cashier" seemed like the most reasonable one to try and called it, called it no answer. Tried it again later in the day, no answer.
    And now I am here.

On September 2nd, I went to A-1 Toyota to simply look at cars, a salesman quickly approached me and asked me questions. I told him I have bad credit, he said no problem, we work with that a lot. I ended up signing papers for a new 2022 Toyota Corolla, he said I was better off buying a new one because of depreciation value, etc. I left the lot so happy, I was finally getting a new car. I put a deposit down, then started making installments towards my down payment. I am a single working mom and can not afford $3000 in one shot. A week passed and I put $600 down, then 2 weeks passed I put another $600 then they called me and said my car is on the way and I can pick it up "soon". A week later I put in another $700 then next week another $500 to make the minimum down payment. I then received an email asking what time can you come in to pick up your "new car"!!! I was ecstatic about it and super happy. Then 15 minutes later I called the financial manager Frank and he told me I was NOT APPROVED!! I had worked my butt off and given them $2500 in a month taking food off my kid's table and they just played me for over a month. They ran my credit 6 times in one day, ran it the day I signed papers, then another 2 times. How could they keep me paying all this money for a downpayment when they were not sure a bank would even accept me? So, now I have to get my money back, they still have all of it. $2500. My credit score has gone down because of unauthorized credit checks that are still going on from A-1, they ran a credit check today, I know because Experian just sent me an email saying so. I called A-1 and they blatantly lied and said Nobody ran my credit today. Maybe it was a ghost? If it is Too Good to be True then it is. Btw my credit score is about 579 with experian. A-1 Toyota Please do not lead your customers on, when you know for a fact they are approved , then ask them for a Downpayment. Thank you.....

If you have a problem with them just sue them in court . That money they have to pay the lawyer a retainer fee won’t last forever. They damaged my car to the point my engine had a seizure when they were supposed to repair it. They even told me they damaged it and then lied in court under oath. I even caught them in a couple lies during trial. I lost because my judge was not only a ****** but she was a former Toyota client and chose not to recuse herself and in small claims court the judge makes the decision and not a jury at least in Connecticut.
