Dan Terry Plumbing came out in August to replace my water pressure reducer because the ***** ***** ******* and the Town of *** ****** water told him to do the jug because it was leaking around the connection bolt and he told them it all needed to be replaced. He replaced the part and put on the original cracked bushing bolt that caused the leak to begin with. He used plumber putty to stop the leaking but put on the old bolt to hold the new water pressure reducer to the pipe. The bolt sprung a leak and flooded my basement. It will caused an increase in my water and sewer Bill. He said he felt bad and would split the cost of the emergency call and charged me $120.00 for a $10 dollars bolt. I lost sleep over being ripped off and placed a stop payment on the check which cost me an additional $35. Today, weeks later Sean Terry of Dan Terry plumbing called me and yelled, called me names and threatened me. He also threatened to call an attorney and put a lean on my house of the $120. I tried to resolve this explaining that if he had done the job correctly in the first place, there would not have been an emergency call from the town water company and me. The new part he put on should have been installed with a new bolt and bushing, not the old one. This caused damage to my property and not much more mental anguish to my son and I. Threatening a customer instead of resolving the issue is severely unprofessional, especially when representing a town and district water company. I asked to speak to Dan, I do not think I should be charged for a service call when the plumber did the job incorrectly and it caused the problem and damage to my home and higher bills for us. I just do not want a lean on my house and I want the plumber to stand by his work and apologize for his accusations. The new part should heave been installed with new bolts to prevent this problem and it was not. That is the plumbers responsibility, not mine to pay for. The bolt is $10 only.
