    I had a gym membership a couple of years ago which I terminated. Now recently I received a notification from a collection agency that I owe a membership fee. The club said that if I pay the money and rejoin the collection agency will wipe out the money due. They asked from my banking information to “rejoin”. None of this makes any sense to me and feels like this is either phishing or a scam. Appreciate any help or guidance you can provide. Thank you. **** *******

    My son (**** ******) cancelled his gym membership in early May of 2024 yet he (my credit card) continues to get charged for a "dormant account". He signed a contract that required 30 days notice to cancel but this business continues to attempt to charge me. I spoke with the manager there, Veronica (refused to provide last name or employee number) who indicated she spoke with my son in-person and heard him request his membership be cancelled. Subsequently, she followed up with him by email to ask if would really like to cancel, an email to which he did not feel obligated to respond. I seek restitution of all dormant account charges and that the gym cease to bill my card for any future charges.
