We purchased a ** combination washer/dryer on 7/5/2024. When it was delivered on 7/12/2024 and the delivery men tested it, the dryer was making a clunking noise and advised my husband that the machine needed to “settle in” and there was nothing wrong with it. We used it for the first time on 7/14/2024 and the dryer was still making the clunking noise. A call was made to Art’s and the owner said it was just something that loosened up in transport and he put in a service call for 7/24/2024. The store owner said we could use the machine, however, the noise was so loud that our neighbor complained (we live in a condo). Tech came out and all he did was push on the side of the dryer and the noise stopped. We went to use it a few days later and the noise was back. My husband called ** and they scheduled an appointment for 8/6/2024, which we cancelled due to schedule, in addition the noise had stopped. We went to use the machine on 8/9/2024 and the clunking noise is back. We were going to put in another service call but it was a Friday night and ** was not open so we were going to call Monday. On Sunday, 8/11/2024, all of a sudden the pump on the washing machine started making a pumping sound like it was pumping water but there was no water to pump because the machine was off. We tried working the on/off knob to shut it off but it would not stop. Keep in mind it was in the off position. We could not turn it off, we had to unplug it. What would have happened if we weren’t home and this machine turned on? We have a video of the dryer making the clunking sound. At this point, we request a full refund from Art’s television and we want them to come and remove this defective machine, as now it’s a safety hazard. Also, now we have to go to the laundromat after spending over $1,000 for a new machine. I have videos of both issues but unable to upload.

Service was set for the customer initially, and we were under the understanding that ** Service would handle any repair, or replacement if needed. After initial service request, we did not hear from the client in regards to any issues after the service call. Once we received this notice, we contacted the customer directly and are working with them in regards to the unit and next steps.

This issue has been going on since July 13, the date of delivery to our home. My husband did contact the store after the first tech was out, which no repair was made, and we also found out that the model machine we had asked to purchase was not what was delivered, but we let that go. We spoke to Mike and he was not worried about our issue. He basically told us we were lying regarding the noise, the non-repair and the incorrect model. My husband called the store when the second tech was on site and told him what was going on. So employees at the store knew what was going on. The owner called us on 8/26/2024 and we explained the entire situation to him. We have videos of both issues, which I cannot upload because they are too big for your site. We told the owner we have the videos. Now this is a safety issue because the machine turns on, while in the off position and the only way to stop it, is to unplug it and we can’t use it. We had to go and purchase another washer and dryer, which cost us $2,500, while we have the brand new defective machine sitting into our garage. We were forced to call GE because we were not receiving any satisfaction from the store. Also, we have not received one repair order from **. The first repair came through online as undefined. Someone is also lying because we keep hearing that the customer doesn’t want the machine repaired. Well we would want it repaired, if someone had come out who knew what they were doing and actually performed a repair. All we want right now is to be refunded our money and for Arts to come and pick up this machine.

I purchased a dishwasher from Art's TV & Appliance on 10/21/2023. The dishwasher was delivered on 10/28/2023. When it was delivered on Saturday and my brother and I went to install the unit we noticed a lot of water leaking from a gasket on the bottom of the dishwasher. Also, the kick plate is damaged like this unit was a return. I called with the store and was told they would not replace the dishwasher and that I would have to have GE repair come out and look at the dishwasher. I gets better I received a text message with a service date and all these fees that I would have to pay. I called Art's again and got the same story over and over again they will not replace this defective unit. That the water is because the manufacturer tests the unit before sending it out to be purchased. I have a video of this massive leaking but it too big to upload. They should be the ones dealing with ** over a faulty unit not I. Shame on you Art's TV & Appliance. This is very frustrating to say the least.
