    I cancelled my membership to a gym because I moved away.
    The gym said I can’t cancel because I moved 24 miles away & it’s not over there 25 mile policy.
    I’m being charged $22.00 each month for no reason.
    I told the company to terminate my contract & they refuse.
    I call the number for the business, it’s a dead line.
    I’ve called all week with no answer.
    How long will you continue to let them steal my money?

    To whom it may concern,
    I am responding to the
    customer concern written by ***** **********. I have also attached screenshots
    of the email conversations I had with Mr. **********, the agreement type, and
    the part in the agreement that was emailed to him when he originally signed up
    that states he needs to fulfil the contract terms in order to cancel.
    Mr. ********** emailed
    us originally in September 2023 stating he wanted to cancel due to him moving
    and did not want to get charged. We replied the next day stating he was past
    the point of cancelling since it had been over a month. He signed August
    5th and emailed us Sept 10th.
    We didn’t hear from Mr.
    ********** again until May 2024 when he emailed the manager’s email stating
    that he wanted to cancel and that he moved too far. We responded that he needed
    to either pay an early cancellation fee or proof of move. We give people those
    options if they want to terminate before their year is up if they have that
    type of membership. Mr. ********** signed up online for our first month free deal
    which rolls over into a year long membership.
    I never heard from Mr.
    ********** again until August 10th 2024 with his emails stating that we
    were a scam and that he lived 24 miles away. I emailed him back stating that if
    he had originally emailed us back, we would have cancelled his membership with
    the 24 mile away proof of move, as we have done in the past. I also stated we
    would cancel his account now without proof of move since it has been a year now
    and not charge him a final bill, which is stated we do in the agreement he
    signed.
    Mr. ********** says our
    phone number is not valid when it is and none of us at the front desk have
    received his call. He has also not tried to email me back from the get-go which
    I would have tried to resolve his issue.

    Was emailed a copy of cancellation on June 21st. On July 6th and August 3rd i was charged for $10.58 both times for being a member. My membership was also confirmed as cancelled over the phone with an employee and they refuse to refund me for those transactions even though i have an email stating my membership had been cancelled.

    ***** membership has been cancelled, his last payment due to Super Future Fitness per the terms of his signed agreement was 7/2/2022. Please refer to the attached email and signed agreement for confirmation of this information.

    The 8/1/2022 payment, for the amount of $10.58, was an over payment and will be refunded to Matt via check, mailed to his address on file.
