My neighbor hired this company to take down trees. While removing them a log ripped down the side of my tree removing a ton of branches. Some landing on my generator and fence. Leaving my tree bare without limbs. This morning I called him to speak about the Damage and he said the tree was fine. That he was an arborist and I am not aware of the biology of a tree! He continued to say that he refused to do anything about it. Even though I had said it’s not currently dead but after this damage it doesn’t look healthy. Not to mention the tree provided shade during the hot summer months. Now I’m stuck with a mangled tree and it needs to be removed. I would’ve helped incur some of the tree removal fees but he refused! And kept demanding that I tell him my profession because I had no idea about being an arborist. I’m sorry but my tree is damaged and needs to be removed! I’m scared what is going to happen next week when they are removing the rest of the trees from the backyard! Please help!

Attached are our field and and office notes, as well as pictures from the days in question.

      Thursday Sept 28

Took a top from one of the (redacted client name) trees out with the crane. About 35’ long from cut to tip, 20-25’ wide. While moving past the pine tree on Ms. ************ property, it broke a couple of dead limbs off and maybe 1-2 live limbs off. Crew members went over there to clean up and make sure everything was in good condition.

Ms. **********- neighbor to (redacted client name) called this morning and said that we ripped half her tree down yesterday and that she wants us to come remove the tree because it is going to die now. She is expecting us to do this for free. We have done nothing to impair the health of the, this assessment was provided by a licensed arborist. The couple of the branches that were broken off the tree were already dead or not essential to the health of the tree. We have before pictures. Arborist went to take after pictures today.

We have a true arborist come out 3 days later and he confirmed the tree wasn’t going to make it. He removed it the next day. So I wasn’t looking for anything free nor did you mention that you bent my fence also when branches were dropped on it. Clearly, you were trying to bully me and did not handle this matter like a respectable business owner. You damaged my property and aren’t taking responsibility for it. I paid $2,500 for the removal of a tree that you damaged! Not fair

I am not sure what you mean by a “true arborist”. Our arborist on staff is licensed in several states, including ***********, and has all credits necessary to keep his license up to date. You did not hire an arborist company; they are a no name business that is not a licensed arborist or with the Secretary of State. They do not have the qualifications to determine the health of the tree. Regardless of that argument, the before and after pictures I already supplied show that we did not damage the tree and we left it in the same condition as it was when we first arrived to do your neighbor’s job. I will no longer be responding to messages on this matter.
