    I booked this food truck for my son's 3rd birthday party in July of 2022 and paid upfront. After multiple emails back and forth confirming that they had the date/time noted correctly the truck did not show up at the party, did not respond to follow-up queries and did not refund my money (I was able to dispute the charge via my credit card company and be reimbursed, however). When they didn't show up at our home I was looking for an alternate contact number and came across multiple identical complaints from other clients within the preceeding two weeks, so it seems that this business is, or has turned into, a simple scam.

    On January 6, 2022, I made a $200 deposit to reserve Cowabunga Food Truck for my wedding on September 17, 2022. According to the invoice I received afterwards, the remaining balance would be due on the day of the wedding.
    I followed up with the food truck in early August but received no response. At the end of August, I called the number listed for Cowabunga Food Truck and spoke to the new owner of the food truck. As I learned over the phone, Cowabunga Food Truck had been sold in March, 2022, and not all of the reservations made by the previous owner had been communicated to the new owners. As such, I was informed that they would no longer be available to serve food at our September 17 wedding, as the new owners had never been informed of my $200 deposit reserving my spot, and had a new reservation in its place.
    I understand that this is more the fault of the previous owner than the new owners, however, I had made a deposit with the understanding that this would facilitate a reservation and am very disappointed that this is not the case.
    I would simply like a refund from either the previous or current owner for my $200.
