  I’ve been with this company for over 10 years and they have changed 100%! Billing is always wrong, technicians are horrible, for the most part, delivery is HORRIBLE! On more than one occasion, I’ve almost run out of oil because I “fell through the cracks”!!! Really??? Not just once - multiple times! I feel their practices are deceitful and they should be investigated

  I called PETRO looking into a new furnace. I have use Petro in the past and when i had a house in ****** for 23 or more years. so, I talk with someone. I move into my mother home she passed I took over the house. I told the salesperson I think my mother had got a furnace from them. but i said I had used their service in ****** also. they ask for the address. When I gave them the address. the salesperson told me I couldn't use them, because my mother account went to collection. I ask why, his answer was because my mother. My mother is deceased. (i have death certificate) I don't understand why I'm getting punish for my mother, technically the company would be looking up my name and ss#. I feel that's discrimination, why am I getting punish for my mother affairs, because I have the same blood. and just because we were related that shouldn't be. I should be treated like for my mother's stuff, so, if it was someone else if they use that address would they told no.

  Petro service contract for our oil furnace was called when exhaust fumes set off the basement fire alarm. After 3 service visits, they decided our ThermoPride lifetime warrantied oil burner was cracked and they could install a new furnace for $9000!! The manufacturer, ThermoPride disagreed and so did a second opinion. Petro service agreed to test one more time and again said it was definitely a cracked heat exchanger- until I got the manufacturer on the phone and Petro service grudgingly did the heat exchange test. Only then did Petro service admit that the manufacturer was right and the heat exchange wasn’t cracked! Our exhaust problem was fixed by retro fitting 2 parts that come on new oil furnaces for $1300 instead of $9000! Petro is a greedy company that takes advantage of its customers! Beware- you have been warned!

  Do not sign up for a lock in plan for oil with this company. I specifically asked the representative that sold me the plan, if cash on delivery oil prices came down to much lower than what our cap price was would our delivery be charged at the lower rate/ going market rate and I was told yes. I completely understood that it would never be quite as low as cash on delivery price but it has not once even been remotely close. My cap price is $4.80 per gallon. Every auto delivery we have had our price per gallon has been an average of $4.50 per gallon when cash on delivery prices have been around $3 or lower. Today we paid $1.35 more per gallon. Not forthcoming enough and can’t wait to be done with this contract.
