    I whish I could give 0 stars.I made a contract for a washer repair on 6/26. First tech came after one week, he thought he identified the problem and ordered a piece. Second tech comes in after 10 days with the piece. Well apparently that was not the problem, but he installed it anyway, so now I cannot get a refound. Ordered a new piece that is in backorder and 2 months later I am still without a working washer. They are asking me to continue to wait. I spent hundered of dollars in the mean time and hours of my time to do my laundry outside my house. Will never use this company again.

    Do not Bo business with this company. They are unethical and unresponsive to customer complaints.Heres what happened to **** purchased a new Whirlpool refrigerator around August 2023. I enrolled in the extended warranty through Domestic and General. Less than 90 days after I purchased this appliance it was deemed defective and replaced by the retailer. Instead of cancelling or transferring the extended warranty, Domestic and General created a new extended warranty on the replacement unit. The result was duplicate charges to my credit card.After 5 months, and about $50 in dupe charges that problem was identified. I requested a refund from *********************************************** for payments for a warranty on a product that no longer existed. Never a service call to them. After a few days I was informed (through my follow-up) that my request was denied. The reason given was that ** failed to notify them the original refrigerator had been replaced. Who would have thought if that?Tried sending an email to the *** in the **. The company wouldnt provide the email. After searching the internet I thought I found the email but after sending details to the *** the email bounced back as undeliverable.I sent a letter to the US address for ***********************************************. No response.Buyer Beware!

    Purchased a dishwasher from them back in Nov of 2022, had to have water pump replaced July 2024 (had purchased extended warranty), they replaced the water pump and now less than a year later it is out again. I had to cancel the extended warranty because I could not get in contact (tried 7 different #'s) with D&G to change C.C# for it so put a block on the card. Whirlpool only guarantees the replaced part for 30 days. So either I got a lemon of an appliance or they had horrible parts, either way its not good. **************** was of no help and only offered me their extended warranty. They suggested one of the other companies they work with only to find out that that company no longer works with them (I wonder why?) and my only option was D&G. My suggestion is to stay away from them at any cost.

    Advise extreme caution. Domestic and General is a 100% scam. They will leave you high and dry (unlike my broken dishwasher) and no sense of urgency. They try their best to not replace your specific dishwasher if its expensive. Biggest lie, you are not responsible for repairs or costs associated with warrantied item. You actually are stuck with installing the replacement unit and you dont find that out until 5 mins before delivery when the delivery guy tells you he only delivers. This will be my last warranty in my life.

    This company is a scammer. They sold me the extended warranty for $37.44/ mo. for my washer. I've had techs come out and give me some BS and that its working fine. Then a day later the machine has the same issues. They have to come to my house every week. They also do not tell you that if you cancel before the contract ends, there will be a settlement fee. They charged me $350 to cancel my contract because the technician had come to my house a few times. He literally did nothing to the washer but they are charging me for this. DO NOT BUY THIS PLAN. OR USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING.

    I called Maytag to have a dishwasher repaired they tried to sell us a domestic general warranty, at that time we did not purchase and just made an appointment for them to out. The Maytag number that we called which I guess is domestic general made the repair appointment for a Wednesday between eight and 12. We received an email from the company that was actually coming out to repair it saying they wouldnt be out until Thursday.The dishwasher broke down again in about two weeks so we decided to go ahead and buy the warranty. Once again, I was given an appointment time for Wednesday between noon and five, but we received an email from the actual company who is doing the repair that they wouldnt be out until Thursday. Twice I have had to use two vacation days to wait at home for the repair people to come. If domestic general doesnt know when the repair people can come out maybe they shouldnt make the appointment and they should let the repair company contact you to make the appointment.

    On 3/22 we called the service number on our whirlpool fridge because it broke; they offered an extended protection plan with Domestic and General for $37.44/mo. They called and scheduled a service appointment on 03/26, technician just opened the door of the fridge and said the ********* was leaking and he needed to send the report to insurance to check if it was covered and we had to wait ***** hours for them to call. On 3/27 they called and said they were sending another technician. On 3/29 a second technician came and after looking at fridge, no inspection, he said he was 99.9 % sure the lint under the fridge was causing the problem, when asked to remove the lint he refused. He gave my husband instructions on what to do, and he left. My husband bought a special brush to remove the lint, there was really not much lint in there, but he did it anyway and followed all his instructions, but the fridge didn't work. I called again to report that the fridge was still not working and today 4/3, they sent the 99.9% technician again. This time he finally did his job, he (with my husband's help) pulled the fridge to the front and he inspected the back, what he should have done the first time he came; he said the computer was not working and he needed to order a part that it will take five business days more if they have it in stock or more if they don't have it, he said the soonest repair would be next Wednesday 4/10. The technician lacked customer service skills and in our opinion, lacked technical skills too. I called back to cancel the extended service because the fridge has not been repaired and we have nowhere to storage food. The rep said we have to pay $411.83 for the services provided, even if no repair was done, we refused to pay because the fridge is still broken. It is their responsibility to send a trained technician, it has been 12 days since we requested a repair and the fridge is still NOT working.We are frustrated,Why do we have to pay for their incompetence?

    I was misled by Whirlpool to get this warranty policy for my Whirlpool refrigerator that was less than two years old and stopped cooling on Feb 4, 2024. I was told by Whirlpool that if ***** couldn't fix it that they would replace it which I found out isn't true. Whirlpool couldn't produce one part for my refrigerator which we found wasn't needed afterall but since they couldn't provide the part they deemed my refrigerator irrepairable and cancelled my policy without my consent. I'm now stuck with a refrigerator that doesn't work and parts that I'm forced to pay for because the repair facility has already ordered them . I'm going to end up spending more money repairing this refrigerator than I would if I just bought a new one. Also, I've been without a refrigerator for over 7 weeks. I think ********* and ***** are working together. I wouldn't recommend either company to my worst enemy.
