    HMTX Industries manufactured LVT flooring, one of which is LifeProof, exclusively sold by Home Depot. We purchased the product (and paid for installation by Home Depots contractor) because it was advertised as waterproof a little over a year ago. Having 5 part time indoor dogs, 2 of which are over 14 made the advertising of LifeProof flooring incredibly attractive.
    We needed to file a warranty claim and it was denied, based solely on a cell phone photo, The damage was a couple of planks where the plank corners expanded from moisture. This should not happen if the floor truly IS 'waterproof'. Merriam Webster dictionary defines 'Waterproof" as being Impervious to water. They tout the toughness of the flooring, and a 'lifetime' warranty.
    This is false advertisement as none of these statements are true. It may be 'water resistant' but it is NOT waterproof. The failure proves it's not 'lifeproof' and illustrates beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is not waterproof as advertised. Their lifetime warranty is nonsense. They stated in the denial that water was on the floor over 24 hours...no it wasn't. Who leaves dog pee on the floor for 24 hours? My wife is a homemaker and is here every day pretty much all day.
    I tried to file a False Advertisement complaint, but BBB steered me to this page to do a review. Big help.
