On February 20th, 2025 I was told I got approved for a vehicle. On that very day I paid $1,200 in cash to James Auto Ltd. The very next day I was told I now did not get approved for the vehicle I paid for and tried to offer me something I did not want. I told them I wasn’t interested and would rather my money back since it was not the car I wanted. I emailed consecutively, I showed up, I’ve called, etc. Every day there was a different excuse on why I didn’t receive my refund. Still to this day April 10th, 2025 I am still waiting and still trying to receive my payment back since I DID NOT receive the car. Every time I call, they automatically hang up the phone. Emails, ignored. They stole my money and will NOT refund me the money I gave them for a product I did NOT receive.Business Response

On February 20, 2025 costumer visit our location with the intention to purhcased a new ride. Costumer placed a non-refundable deposit, costumer was aware, costumer signed and agreed. Few days after costumer contact the dealership about some situation, also stated to return back to dealership after leaving the state for personal matters. Dealership is currently holding an approval for said costumer. Dealership is currently waiting to hear back from costumer to finish the business starter back in February. Copy of the purchase order is attached.

I’m just unsure as to why if it was “non refundable” then why was I notified on more than one occasion that they were mailing my check out? First it was sent to the wrong address of ** ********* ** and got sent back. Then they had not just told me but told my sister that it was going to be mailed again once I had an address I could receive it at in the state I’m in. Then on a different occasion, I was told that I would have to come in person to receive my money. Now that I contacted you guys, they’re stating I now cannot get it back.

I purchased a vehicle from this business and when I test drove it the check engine light was on. I informed them of this and they told me it would be fixed before the final sale. The night I drove the vehicle off the lot, not 5 minutes later the check engine light came on. I called them immediately and they tried to tell me that it was probably just the gas cap and to come back the next day and they would fix it, I explained that I would be taking the vehicle somewhere else to have the codes read before bringing it back to them. The following day I took the vehicle to have the codes read and was told that they had been cleared 3 times, so obviously James Auto never fixed the issues with the vehicle and only cleared the codes.Business Response

Customer purchased used vehicle 2014 **** **** which was sold as is, customer was informed, customer agreed and signed. Vehicle was sold AS IS meaning any repair needed after the sale is 100% customer responsibilities. JAMES AUTO have never or would never diagnose a vehicle over the phone. JAMES AUTO cant diagnose a vehicle without the car being physically here at the dealership. James Auto offered to bring the car over to overlook customer concern, customer declines, James Auto would be more than happy to help . They are liars, they told me they would fix the issues before I purchased the car. I was even there one day to sign something I missed and I asked if they had fixed anything yet and Anna showed me camera footage of my car supposedly being worked on in the shop saying, see they are working on it right now.Initial Complaint

**** went to put $6000 on a car and spoke about and agreed to a $200 monthly payment **** started experiencing issues with her car less than a week after purchasing, **** left her car at the property over night, when the morning came and spoke about pricing they were not on the same terms. When picking up her car after being looked at the engine light was still on for three weeks and it was still making noises, **** went to get a diagnostic checked on it and when agreed on pricing it was not the same pricing as previously agreed upon. When **** had follow up questions about her car and asked for the paperwork regarding her diagnostic to confirm what she paying they wouldn’t give to you without her paying off her car, they also would not give **** the spare key to her car without her paying off the car. **** was spoken to about the mileage and was not told the correct number on the car, when **** went in to make her first payment the manager was constantly rude, unprofessional and disrespectful towards ****.Business Response

James Auto was advertising the 2014 **** ******** ******** *** (VIN - ***************** ) on their website for the price of $ 11,589.00. Customer purchased the vehicle on 3/1/2023. Vehicle was sold for $11,000.00. Customer agree and signed. Customer also agree for payments for less than $250.00, her current monthly payment is $247.72. Customer sign contract and agree for that. Safety check was done along with emission report as well. During safety all work needed it to be done was complete during safety. All safety systems, safety features and others were 100% before delivery. Vehicle was sold "AS IS" which means any repairs on the vehicle after sale are 100% customer responsibilities. Vehicle was sold as is, Customer signed and agreed for that as well. On 4/8/2023 said customer was stating that she was having transmission issues with her vehicle. James Auto with customer authorization proceeded for a 2 hours diagnosis based on the customer complaints to address customer concerns, no issues found. James Auto charged customers 1 hour diagnoses when the dealer did two hour diagnoses. During diagnosis all computer systems and codes were all up to date. Dealer contact costumer for result on the diagnose for her vehicle and the transmission concer, but costumer refuse to believe that nothing was wrong with vehicle transmission. 3/12/2023 James Auto brought the vehicle to a local transmission shop professional for a second diagnosis to address customers concerns, no issues or codes were found stating any issue with vehicle transmission. Customer was charged 1 hour diagnose dealers price ($78.25) regular hourly diagnose at the facility for customer is $119.00, dealer help customer by having costumer pay our price, not regular customer price. Vehicle mileage information is correct since the very first day of sales. Customer agreed and signed. Mileage on said vehicle can be proof by emission report done by the State of *********** Emission Center. All this information can be proof as well. When financing with James Auto thru our own Finance Institution spare keys and title will be provided to customer once costumer complete and satisfied all promises and agreements with dealership for said vehicle.

bought my suv 7-6-22 have yet to see it or have it registerd dont even have it possession of it they refuse to givr me what i bought n paid for there seems to be no laws any more
