    On 12/31/2024 C&B construction installed a French door and two side lights on the exterior of my home. I see light thru a gap on both sides of the active door, it also leaks during rainy weather. The doors and side lights also only have single pane glass and are not Low E Glass. I contacted the door manufacture and gave them the door serial number and was told that the doors are interior doors. The door and the side lights are made with MDF and made for interior use only. I contacted C+B construction and asked them to remove them and install exterior doors and side lights, they have ignored my e-mail, voice mails and text messages.

    Customers were on a budget, was told by other contractors job would be 15-20,000$. After looking around and not being able to find anything this door is what was came up with. We have receipts and text messages of this door being decided on. With our schedule being packed tight and not being able to fit customers timeline we hired a sub contractor to install the door and lites that did a terrible job. Customer did not pay until we personally came out and fixed everything (which we did, on New Year’s Eve) There was no gaps or leaks at the time we fixed everything and the customer was happy and paid. They mentioned a leak which we were happy to come and look at. It is a very old house and the old door was rotten from the bottom up as well as the floor being very worn so we assume the leak was happening before as well and was never mentioned. All in all it was a custom job, that the sub contractor could not handle, we still came in and made all necessary fixes. Everything was shown and decided upon by customer.

    I spoke with the ******* building inspector ,it against ** building codes to install an interior door on the exterior of a home. The cost has nothing to do with the building code if the

    job could not be done at that price it should not have been done. I was at home when they sub contractor started the job and removed the old doors and side lights. I saw no rot under the the door it sits on a pressure treated sill..
