    On 3/10/22, Quality Oil delivered 61.9 gallons of fuel to my prior residence at *** ****** ***** *** ************ ** *****. The delivery driver delivered the fuel to the wrong address, as no order was placed at *** ****** ***** **. I was not charged for this home oil delivery, as I did not place an order and the driver made a mistake of his own. As of 6/23/22, a new owner has occupied *** ****** ***** **. I was contacted on 7/18/22 by the new homeowner, as she received a bill from Quality Oil for $185.70 in her name (on acct# ****), for the 61.9 gallons delivered erroneously on 3/10/22. The new owner was told she is responsible to pay this bill, even though nobody at *** ****** **** ** ever ordered it. I called Quality Oil, and the owner reinforced his claim that the new home owner is responsible - and claimed he is legally entitled to pursue these funds from the innocent new homeowner.

      The person filing the complaint failed to mention they were renting a house from the new homeowner until their new residence was ready to move to. The oil delivery was made while they were tenants, and they have since moved out. I spoke to the homeowner about the mistake delivery, and she was very polite and seemed understanding of the situation. She told me that she has the old tenants phone number and that she would call them and gesture to them that money is still owed for oil. Because the landlord had not gotten fully reimbursed for the whole amount of oil used while they were tenants. 

      Unfortunately, this was not taken well by the tenants. After the landlord called them, A male tenant called Quality Oil office using profanity and called me names and then hung up the phone. The next day his wife called the office and before she said anything I let her know how her husband spoke to me. She then apologized for him. I spoke to her for a short time and answered her questions. Then she told me that she would take care of it. I thought this meant they would pay for it and this would be the end. Soon after I was notified by BBB of a complaint against Quality Oil was made. Simply put this complaint deserves no merit. Prior to the complaint, Quality oil never contacted the tenants for payment. This should have stayed as a tenant landlord dispute and not a complaint against Quality Oil.
