  I regret doing business with Aurelio D'Angelo.
  I was told that the Bilco bulkhead door that he would put in would be better than the old one. After he put it in and huge amounts of cold were getting into the basement, which never happened with the old bulkhead door, he tells me that "metal warps" and that he would shore it up a little with caulking. His son told me I could just block up the opening at the bottom with "rags".
  My old bulkhead had a metal piece the went along the bottom of the slant, which I assumed all bulkhead doors had, and the bulkhead doors had an arch at the bottom that fit perfectly over the arch in the bottom piece, thus blocking out wind and melting snow.
  The new Bilco door does not do this.
  Also, his son dumped cement mix on the border of our woods right on top of border garden plants instead of dumping the material off-site.
  On the side where the cement meets the bulkhead there is a dimple about three inches long. I assumed that the cement area would be made ready with any repair before the new bulkhead would be placed on. This did not happen. The new bulkhead was placed on and sealed but the cement chip that was not repaired creates an environment for corrosion to happen easily. This should be an automatic repair done by masonry people who are replacing a hatchway door. I just assumed that was part of the project.
  Today Aurelio tells me I would have to pay extra to have that fixed.
  In a nutshell: find better people to do your masonry-bulkhead. He never told us a price up-front and then charges $3,500 for the cheap bulkhead door, a little chimney repairs and two little repairs to the brick patio.

  This issue was resolved on 1/4/2024. We have photo, video, and voicemail evidence from the customer stating that she was very happy with the end result.

  ******* ******** and his son repaired the cement chip area under the new bulkhead on January 4 in the morning after I mentioned in an earlier voicemail message that I wrote a negative review in his Facebook page and that I gave told the story of my overall experience at the Connecticut BBB site. Right after learning about my reviews, Aurelio D'Angelo and his son came and did the repair that should have been done as part of doing a correct job prepping the the new bulkhead installation. I followed the completed repair with a voice mail where I gave thanks for doing the repair without charging extra.
