Decided to remodel our kitchen. Guess I should have looked at reviews first. I went to pick out new granite countertops and tile. Ahmed and his team came out & measured for the countertops & backsplash, a diagram was drawn where everything was to be placed and Ahmed and I signed off on it. I thought, very professional. Fast forward to installation. Glad I came home early from work because they had mounted the island facing the wrong way & it was centered instead of the overhang I signed off on. I showed the workmen the diagram & made them fix it. It was screwed down so when they removed it it cracked a piece of the wood cabinet which they decided to glue. Next the backsplash. I paid to have them remove the old backsplash and repair & prepare the plaster wall behind it. I came home and the plaster was not smooth. I called Ahmed and he said it would stick better this way. Day of installation. Worker cut pieces wrong and did not have enough of the $1800 backsplash to finish approx 1/4 of the backsplash. I called, was told they needed to order more, it might be a few weeks & I would have to pay for more tile. Why should I have to pay when Ahmed & team measured for the tile and then the person they sent cut the tile wrong. The tile that was up looked awful. For reference, I bought a linear rectangular mosaic tile. It did not lay flat, some rectangles were pushed together where you couldn't put grout and some were a good 1/4" apart. I noted the worker did not use any shims although he had a container with him. I couldn't ask the worker as he spoke no English. When I spoke to Ahmed, he said he would have his guy fix whatever was wrong. told Ahmed I did not want this worker back again. I wanted Ahmed to come see what the issue was. Ahmed shows up, with the same worker. Looks at the work and says that is the way it is supposed to look. Ahmed refused to fix it to my satisfaction. We are still at an impasse my kitchen isn't complete & I have not heard from Ahmed since that day
