  In March 2024, BBB contacted IV Lounge CT regarding claims in its advertising.
  
  Its website and social media pages include many health benefit claims related to the ingredients and treatments offered at its facility.  According to the BBB Code of Advertising, claims relating to performance, energy savings, safety, efficacy or results for a product or service should be based on recent and competent testing or other objective data. Scientific evidence from human clinical trials is preferred to support medicinal and therapeutic claims or claims to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any illness or disease.  Specific ingredient claims require substantiation and claims concerning overall uniquely formulated products also require testing on the combination of ingredients in the product.  Below is a small sample of some of the health benefit claims in IV Lounge CT's advertising:
  
  "Get help improving the appearance of your skin, boosting muscle mass, relieving joint pain, and preventing blood loss with Beauty."
  "This antioxidant may aid in weight loss, treat diabetic nerve pain, heal wounds, lower blood sugar, and improve skin discoloration"
  "This IV infusion supports a strong immune system, fixes damage to cell DNA, offers lysine treatment for cold sores caused by the zoster virus, and triggers powerful immune responses."
  "Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) may help boost hydration, ease inflammation, and also protect against skin cancer." 
  "This IV infusion is designed for colds and flu and may decrease recovery duration and alleviate symptoms.  It can contribute to fatigue reduction and provide an energy surge, particularly when combined with B vitamins.  It can also aid in faster wound healing, possess antihistamine properties from Vitamin C to assist with allergies, and elevate neurotransmitter levels to help alleviate depression symptoms." 
  "Reduce the inflammation, pain, and swelling often associated with arthritis and other types of musculoskeletal disorders."
  "The benefits of the Myers’ Cocktail may include increased energy levels, improved immune function, reduced inflammation, and relief from conditions such as migraines, asthma, and fibromyalgia....It can also help improve several conditions such as acute or chronic muscle spasms, asthma, other respiratory problems, fibromyalgia, cardiovascular disease, infections, and seasonal allergies. The Myers’ Cocktail can also eliminate migraines within minutes, perfect for those with chronic migraines looking for relief."

  The business did not respond to BBB's request that it substantiate, modify, or discontinue its claims.

   

  As of November 2024, the business has modified some of its claims. 

  For example, the claim "FAQ: HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN YOU LOSE WITH MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS INJECTIONS? In a double-blind clinical trial, participants lost on average 14.9% of their body weight, which was about 12% more than the control group" now states: "Our medical weight loss injections are based on clinical research, where participants have experienced varying results. Exact outcomes can differ, and it’s best to consult with a healthcare provider to understand what you might expect."
  
  The statements "This IV infusion is designed for colds and flu and may decrease recovery duration and alleviate symptoms.  It can contribute to fatigue reduction and provide an energy surge, particularly when combined with B vitamins.  It can also aid in faster wound healing, possess antihistamine properties from Vitamin C to assist with allergies, and elevate neurotransmitter levels to help alleviate depression symptoms"  have been changed to "Our IV infusion aimed at supporting overall health may be beneficial during the cold and flu season. Ingredients like Vitamin C and B vitamins are known to support energy and wellness. Please consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice. Benefits of high-dose vitamin C may include reduced illness recovery time, less fatigue, faster wound healing, depression relief, and allergy support."
  
  However, such claims still require substantiation.
