This company miss advertised and did not properly inform their new customers about billing process and how their program works. I enrolled into their energy program thought I would be saving money at a lower rate. It turns out, I was still having to pay a fee to the utility companythat cost several hundred dollars on top of the Fee being charged by this energy company. I contacted the energy company ( thinking energy) they told me yes I am correct that a surcharge fee and any other additional fees required by state would be charged in addition to the rate.that they were charging me. Any reasonable person would believe this to be a misrepresentation of what they claim to do and that is reduce your rates and the amount that you pay per month to and for energy. I even confided in thinking energy LLC customer service support to be accompany different than the last company that filled me with such deceptive practices whosename I will not mention. I just feel hopelessly defeated by our consumer trust program. How are we as consumer supposed to trust that we are the right people for energy? How is it fair to be charged once by your utility company in a second time by thinking energy, LLC? Who will speak out this the majority of us buy into these programs like thinking energy LLC because we believe that we will reduce our energy bills not provide cleanenergy as much as I want to participate in the clean energy movement. I can’t afford to at this time. I don’t even have a solar panel attached my home or a windmill on my property and here I am giving large sums of money to the green new scam.

I've provided two billing statements from my utility company which showcases Thinking Energy's deceptive billing practices. Promising a lower rate of 0.98 cents, guaranteed, for 4 months but then, being charged in combination with the First Energy (the main distributor of electricity/ energy in my local area).

Hello *******, we are sorry to hear about your frustration. Think Energy provides electricity supply at a guaranteed rate for the term of your program of choice. We are not a Utility and are not responsible for the delivery of the electricity, so you are still responsible for paying your Utility for the delivery of the electricity, including state taxes and fees, whether your supply comes from the Utility or a third-party supplier, such as Think Energy. All of the information, including billing disclosures, is provided in the Contract Summary and Terms of Service. For further assistance, please contact our Customer Care team at ###-###-####.

Think Energy sent me an email thanking me for signing up and how I would be billed. However, I didn't sign up for them or even give their website my email address.

They were saying they would be providing energy for a home that I don't even live at any more, therefore, I have no reason to pay for energy for that home.

Im not sure how I "signed up" for this service or how they bought my information but it is clearly not done in an ethical way.

Please remove complaint. Company has reached out and apparently this is a direct enroll due to another company's error. Think Energy has fixed the problem and this complaint can be cancelled.
