      TOH discontinued their magazine and replaced it with access to their website. The magazine subscription was a gift. I did not approve of being charged for access to the website. I tried twice to cancel the website access but could not complete the cancellation due to no email being sent from TOH as required. I want a refund.

      Hi there *******,

      Thank you for reaching out. It seems that you have been a member of some kind for a while now, since 2017. Thanks for being a fan! We would not be able to charge you without your billing information being submitted on your end with a valid credit card number. Upon cancellation and request of a refund, it seems you also requested a chargeback at one point, but in addition to that, all of the refunds that we have been able to grant you per your request, we have. I just looked into your account and it has already been cancelled as of May 5, 2025. So you should be all set!

      12/14/2023 I received my credit card statement and upon review found a $58 charge from This Old House *******. I did not subscribe to this service.
      12/15/2023 I attempted to cancel and obtain a refund by calling This Old House at ###-###-####. This number has a recorded message stating, "this number is not in service".
      12/15/2023 I call another number for This Old House ###-###-#### and was told I could not cancel because this was thru a third party, I would have to call ###-###-####. I explained I did call this number and it was not in service. Angel told me she could not help me.

      Hi there,

      ***** ********* called an old 800 number that we no longer that we no longer have on our contact page (but will be using again in March), and then the ***/magazine number to ask for an ******* refund but *** only provides refunds for magazines and is not involved with This Old House ******* refunds. The customer service rep might have gotten confused, but protocol is for them to refer users to the ******* website. Our contact us page contains a cancellation link and our ****************************** *****. We attempted to provide ***** with a refund but by the time we attempted to, this member’s bank had already issued a chargeback, it was not possible to send a refund. However, I did cancel ******* membership so she should be all set.

      11/23 Responded to a Black Friday promo to subscribe for half price. Was not able to gain access to the content. Numerous emails and still not able to log in.

      We have resolved Mr. ********** login issue which was a never-before-seen issue. After working with our website vendor to find a solution, we were able to resolve. Mr. ******** has since notified us that he is now able to successfully login, which is great news. We refunded him his full billing cycle prior to this complaint. We also sent him an Insider gift for his troubles. Thank you for being a loyal customer, Mr. ********!

      I signed up for a 7 day free trial of the Insider App. I tried out and did not like the app. I contacted theur support email to cancel my free trial within the 7 days as directed on their website. I received a link to cancel my membership that did not work. I was then charged for a full year's subcription a few days later. Many attempt to call and email their customer service have gone unanswered or with a reply containing the same broken cancel membership link. I would like my $96 dollar subscription fee refunded and my subscription actually cancelled.
