    I hope all is well! I’m ***** *****, a resident of ********* ** at ** * ***** *** **** ***, **** ***** ***** ************. I’m reaching out because on February 6, 2024, a painter accidentally set off the sprinkler system in **** ***** ***** ** **** ***. This incident happened on February 6, 2024 and now it’s over 2.5 months later and the reconstruction has not begun on the 4 condos and common areas that were affected. The last email that we received from our property management company was that it will be another 6-9 months or more until reconstruction is complete and we can move back. 4 residents are displaced from our homes and there’s no sense of urgency on the part of Plaza Realty Management, *** ************ to get us back into our homes – that we are paying our full mortgage and HOA fees for. I’m currently living in a ********* *** in ***** ******* ** with only a fraction of my belongings because I was forced to move out and store most of my belongings with very little notice.

    Even other residents who were not affected are also starting to complain because the panels of the walls in some of the hallways have been removed and not replaced. I am looking for avenues to bring more attention to this issue to speed up the process of the rebuild. I hope that the Better Business Bureau can help me in this situation.

    This has been an unfortunate incident for all involve, that had nothing to due with anyting this office nor the Association did, however this office has been working diligently to move a complex issue along as quickly as possible.  In addition, all stakeholders have been informed every step of the way as you are aware.  In fact, the property manager has been in direct contact with you many times on this issue.  

    This illustrates the importance of the unit owner carrying adequate insurance to protect themselves.

     

    The update that was sent this morning by the board of directors is attached.

    I am rejecting this response because: I still do not have a timeline for repairs for my condominium unit after 2.5 months of waiting. This business is claiming that this incident is no fault of their own, but they are responsible for getting the repairs started in a timely manner. If you review ****** Reviews, you will see that many other people are complaining about Plaza Realty Management and the way they do not address issues at their respective properties. When will the Better Business Bureau intervene and get justice for the communities that Plaza is not serving well.
