  After meeting with a number of contractors and a wide range of proposals, we decided to go with Steve’s common sense approach.
  While doing the repairs it was determined that more work than originally thought was necessary. Steve talked through our options and went above and beyond to make sure we were left in good shape for our future plans. He even returned to finish up a small outstanding item. I recommend OTTCC for good work done with the homeowners best interest in mind.

  My roof is over 20 years old and I have to get it replaced. Prior to doing that, a friend cleaning my gutters questioned the age of my chimney ( it is 65 years old) and felt perhaps it needed attention. Heeding his suggestion, I called three different chimney companies and they all gave me a different determination on my chimney ranging from "tear it down and rebuild it", to do "nothing". I finally called Steve at Over The Top Chimney Care, he was in the area giving a quote on another job, came out to my house and informed me that the chimney was in good shape, was well made, nothing was compromised, and it just needed to be seal-coated. I had to wait until the weather reached a certain temperature to seal it. Once it reached that temperature, I called Steve one afternoon to make an appointment to have that done. As fate had it, he was working down the street from me. He said he could come over that afternoon when he finished that job and he would complete the sealcoat. Then Steve came back the next day with the stainless steel cap I ordered and installed it. I was so grateful. While on the roof he noticed the zinc strip lifting and tacked that down for me. Again, I was so grateful that he was able to make time for me so quickly, not holding up the roofing crew and was able to tell me honestly the condition of my chimney. Thank you so much Steve.

  I love to support small local business and this company is the reason why. They represent what customer service should be. They took time with me, were honest and straightforward. No hard pressure sell. Thorough and attentive. Answered all my questions with ease and information. They provided the best of the best equipment as well as attention to detail. The techs were respectful to me and each other. They communicated with me throughout the project and the price point was within my budget and worked with me on the best plan of attack. Not only that, they provided future solutions to improving my heating efficiency. I won’t recommend anyone else for Chimney service. I’m set for life & so will you ??????

  We contacted Steve to fix the damper on our fireplace. During his inspection, we mentioned that we had considered installing a fireplace insert. However, we were unhappy with the 3 companies we contacted as they hedged on installation cost and did not gain our trust. Steve advised that he had installed many inserts and showed us pictures of his work. Within 30 minutes he quoted the entire job of installing a Regency fireplace insert-exactly what we were interested in.
  When asked how we should prepare for the install, he advised: "Nothing is required, I will take care of everything from here. He kept us updated on the order status and when he picked up the insert. He arrived at our home with Frank his assistant on the date promised and they did the entire installation in 3 hours. They were meticulous in there attention to detail and fully testing their work.
  All commitments were fulfilled and work done at a very competitive price. I would recommend Over The Top Chimney to anyone needing chimney service.

  I highly recommend this company. I called on a Wednesday afternoon because my chimney needed new flashing and I had squirrels. Steve said he would be there the following morning at 9am. He was there at 8:55am. He assessed the situation and took pictures. He sat down and explained that I needed a completely new chimney. The pictures told the whole story. He answered every question very patiently. I asked him when he could start and he said the demo and cleaning would be done that same day. He arranged for workers to come the next day to flash and rebuild. Everything was done professionally and very timely. He went above and beyond.

  I called and spoke to Steve and two days later they inspected and repaired our chimney that day. A good experience.
