      Warning: Avoid Aqua Pump
      My experience with Aqua Pump was largely negative, mainly due to poor management by the owner, Scott, particularly regarding my refund request.
      Emergency Service Call ($125): Technicians arrived within 30 minutes, which was the only positive aspect and why I gave two stars.
      The Issues: With my electrical background, I had already tested the well pump and control box, confirming the pump or wiring was faulty before calling. I knew the pump needed to be pulled, a complex task.
      Technician Actions: The technicians confirmed my findings but still tried a new control box, which failed with a blown capacitor. They turned off the power and took my original control box despite my request to keep it. They proposed replacing the pump and wiring for $3,500–$5,500. I paid $330 for a partial control box replacement (just the front plate, no base) with negative results.
      Poor Customer Service: Scott was rude and refused my refund request for the control box and emergency call, showing unprofessional business practices.
      Better Alternatives: I contacted other services, who quoted $1,900–$3,000 for the same repair with immediate availability.
      I strongly suggest exploring other providers before choosing Aqua Pump.

      At Aqua Pump Company, we take all service calls seriously and hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and customer care.
      We are a fully licensed and insured water systems provider, and we stand behind the actions of our licensed technicians and our business practices in this matter.
      In this case, our technicians responded to an emergency call promptly and conducted a thorough on-site evaluation. The customer, who identified herself as an electrical engineer, had already attempted to diagnose the issue prior to our arrival. Despite that, she knowingly re-engaged a failed control box, causing the capacitor to fail, a situation she would reasonably understand, given her stated background. Even so, our technicians offered a replacement front plate for the control box and attempted to move the service forward in good faith.
      During the visit, the customer offered our technicians cash to complete the repair as a side job, outside the scope of Aqua Pump Company. This is a clear violation of our company's policies and standards as well as insurance policies. Our technicians refused the offer and reported the incident. It was only after this that the tone of the conversation changed and the complaint escalated.
      Despite the challenges, we still offered the customer multiple solutions, including a replacement warrantied control box and a full system replacement estimate. When she expressed concern about the pricing, we remained willing to work with her to find a reasonable path forward. However, she declined all options that didn't involve simply issuing a refund, despite the time, labor, and parts already invested, because she ultimately intended to have the work completed outside of our company at a lower cost.
      Aqua Pump Company does not condone unethical business practices or side deals that bypass proper procedures, liability protections, and industry standards. We are proud of the way our technicians handled this situation and remain committed to providing honest, transparent service to all customers.
      This was not a case of poor service-it was a case of our company upholding its standards and refusing to compromise our ethics, even when it meant walking away from a customer who expected otherwise.
