    On Sept 6th 2023 I went to get my airbag replaced as it was recalled. I picked my truck up later that same day and my front piece of my dashboard was broken. I called and spoke to Steve C******** he said to send him pictures of the dash. I sent them and was told he would order the clips. A few months went by he said because of the strike everything was delayed. We finally went there only for him to take another picture and realize it's not just a clip replacement it's the whole dash piece. He calls back a few days later to say they didn't do that because they go in through the glove box to replace the airbag. I told him I went there my dash wasn't broken till I picked up my truck! The manager tried to tell me my truck is old so it could've broken from closing the door. I can't believe I go to get a safety hazard fixed they break something else and refuse to fix it and just claim it's an old truck so it could of just broke! They did this so they should fix it! My truck is a 2007 ********

    Hello Better Business Bureau,

    I am sorry to hear Ms. ******** had an issue with her most recent service. The vehicle is a 2007 ******** ******** that came in for an air bag recall. This particular recall has been out for a few years and we have performed this air bag replacement procedure many times. The procedure requires us open the glove box and unbolt air bag component from inside the glove box. The old unit drops down into the glove box. The new one is installed the same way. The new unit is put in place through the glove box and refastened. Ms. ********** complaint is related to the upper dash pad in front of the drivers area on the top of the dashboard. Once we saw her complaint we attempted to make it better by replacing the clips for the area of concern. We did not feel it was related to the work that we performed but attempted to accommodate her. Unfortunately the clips did not correct the issue and a new upper dash pad is needed to correct Ms. ********* concern. Do to the simplicity of the air bag replacement and the ease in which the old one comes out and the new one is put back in place, it is the opinion of our Shop Foreman and Service Manager, the work we performed did not cause the issue with the dash pad in front of the driver's upper dash area. 

    We are not be unwilling to absorb the cost of the new upper dash pad.
