    My husband brought me a gift card for Christmas at the perfume shop in mall in ******* mall , l went in on 12/28 to look for perfume and also ask the person in shop to check how was on the card he told me $150. I didn’t see the perfume that l wanted do he gave me the store card to call him to place a special order or order online.l don’t recall him giving me back the card, because l only found the store card in my pocket and not the gift card. I called the store 3 days later no answer. It was new year eve I started to chat with someone over ****** email explaining the situation, he told me they only keeps video only for 24, Then another person started a new chat the following it was a guy and he remembered me coming in the store, I explained the situation all over again, he telling that he can't do anything l have to have the gift on hand. I told him my husband has the receipt and there is a number if he can track to see if the card as used. He keep telling me I need gift card in my hands. So that the reason why l'm making a complaint. I don't want cash back all l need is to be a able to shop with the full amount of$150.

    Dear BBB,

    we received letter just recently and tried to respond but it says case closed. We would like to submit our response on this matter.

    customer came to store and ask to check balance on gift card we checked  her balance using the gift card she brought and gave the card back to her. Later after 3 days or so customer called and informed us that she lost the card. We told her if you don’t have physical card we can use photo of it or you need to bring original receipt to store so we can cancel old gift card and issue new one.

    Customer insisted she doesn’t have any receipt we told her without receipt we cannot do anything as anyone can use old gift card unless we cancel it using receipt. She responded extremely rudely to our sales person saying we took her gift which is not correct. She asked us to run video but we don’t have video recording more thn 24 hrs. 

    if customer can bring her receipt we will happily look for her gift card numbers and cancel old card and issue new one but receipt is a must. 

    Thankyou and we will go above and beyond for customer satisfaction only if customer cooperates.
