2 weeks ago we paid this business 3,600 for repair of a furnace. We were provided an estimate beforehand and when asked about the range all he said was "higher than that" when we made a guess at the cost. Not many hours in the home and parts were supposedly 1200. So he charged an astronomical amount and we asked for an itemized invoice to better understand and we were not given one. Only given a note on a piece of work order.l paper...no specifics. 2 weeks later at 7pm, tonight 12/22, our furnace made loud noises and smelled of exhaust. We have no heat now and a 2 year old. We requested him to come out but he declined until next day. We are forced to use someone else and pay a service that should be covered under his 3600 cost. Unfair business practices and thievery.

    Business Response

Hi *****, I responded to your home after hours well into the night to look at your no heat request for help, when I arrived I quickly noted that this system was in a dangerous neglected state, over pressure, leaks everywhere, antifreeze in the system, clogged oil delivery, you name it, the honest truth behind this is it was a referral from one of the most stand up loyal guys I know so I did not give you a estimate I only saw you once and your husband was with me. This night was nice we talked the good friend was there  and we came up with a plan for the morning, the next day my oil tech worked to correct the burner issue, clogged everything and stripped burner coupling, I worked on the boiler, cracked and leaking air scoop, repipe feed with spirovent, new expansion tank, new safety valve, new watts feeder and back flow preventer, flush the system, add new antifreeze. Tune burner and run efficiency and combustion test, the boiler was running perfect. When it came time for the bill your husband got aggressive, please read the above work preformed, this job needed 2 company’s to complete me and an oil expert. You had a night call, all day the next day and when your heat failed i said I’m sorry I can’t come tonight but I can first thing tomorrow, your husband said we can’t wait and where calling some one else, you wrote a nasty post about me on ******** ******** page, you do not have a service contract with me and when I feel some one being  aggressive  I do not have any obligation to you, this no heat call was cause by your oil pump failing, out of the kindness of my heart I had my oil company there the next day for you and fixed free of charge, this was 100 percent. Billable job and nothing I touched, your not going to be running for that long with a bad pump. After all this same day in the afternoon I get the message from bbb about this post. Amazing you lost a great plumber and a mutual friend, congrats. It cost me 2k in material and oil tech . How much did I make for all of this disaster? I forgot to add I had 3 hours there with oil tech to replace pump when no one else showed up. All in all the problem was resolved but the amount of head ache and stress you have caused over your issues not mine remember I’m the only guy that helped you, this has been damaging. I wish you the best, you will never see my business again.
