Driveway was sealed 8/21. Within the first year coating was wearing off in spots and was touched up for no charge during 1 year warranty. Within 2 years more spots are wearing away and more within 3 years. Original seal coat (not Dura Seal) lasted well over 10 years. Contacted Dean from Dura Seal and was told driveway should be resealed every 2 years. Thought Dura Seal would last more than 2 years. I will have driveway resealed with original company which provides a better longer lasting, more professional product.

There was little to no sealer on the customers driveway prior to us sealing it. Although your Durable Sealcoat should last several years we usually recommend re-sealing every three or four years to get the most life out of your pavement. When sealer is applied to structurally sound pavement, we gaurantee the workmanship for a full year. It is preventative maintenance designed to slow down the deterioration of your driveway. There are many causes of driveway cracking and a variety of factors that determine how well crack sealing and sealcoating hold up. These include but are not limited to: -Age of asphalt -whether the driveway was recapped -oxidation and brittleness -Severity of weather and snow removal techniques -Usage, weight of vehicles, and thickness of pavement -Quality of asphalt and underlying base -Water run off over driveway and low spots -Existence of mold, mildew, and tree sap We do not warrantee sealer against snow removal damage or premature wear in areas of poor drainage or water ponding. Jon had some minor wear after the first year in some low spots which I touched up. I didn't hear from him until he received hie three year reminder notice.
