Hello! I discovered a business LLC registered under my personal name which I have not association with. The LLC is call ****** which is a liquor store. I found out this law office registered the business. I call them week on July 17th. I spoke with ******** who is in the department of LLC extension ***. She put me on hold then came back to the call and asked if she can call me back and took down my number. I did not receive a follow up call and decided to follow up 7/25/2023 1:18 pm. I left a message on ********s voicemail ext ***. I get a call back from the phone number - with a threatening message from a man saying "I have reported your number to the fraud department". I tried to call back to speak with someone but there is no answer and left another messgae to ******** asking why they left a message of this sort. I need the LLC they registered under my name to be removed as it is not my business. This is a legal office calling with threatening messages. I've attached the proof of these calls in the pic. The 12 second call was the threat.

We received several phone messages and calls from a person indicating her name was ***** *****, demanding that we remove her name from an LLC started with our office last year.

Our client, ***** *****, of Waterbury, and her husband did, in fact, open an LLC together last year.

We confirmed that the phone call we received from the individual filing this complaint was not in fact the ***** ***** known to our office, nor a valid number for our client. There was concern this individual may have been impersonating our client. In order to protect our client and her confidentiality, we flagged the phone number of the person repeatedly calling our office stating she was ***** *****, as potentially fraudulent and not our client. No threats were made.

We owe a duty to our client, and we have never provided services to or for the individual filing this complaint.

I represented ***** ***** of ********** ** in the formation of her limited liability company known as ****** *** which purchased a property in ********** **.  When my office received a call from someone claiming to be ***** ***** and that she did not authorize the formation of this company, we knew that this was not accurate and a possible scam.  Apparently, there is another ***** ***** from the ********* ** area.  The LLC which we formed clearly indicates that our ***** *****'s company address is in ********** **.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********. I would like to say as a legal office they should have followed up with me instead of calling me and threatening me with scam reports. If I were a scammer why would I have followed up after speaking with ******** in the LLC department about my findings. They refused to take my call after when they should have talked to me as professionals.

    Sincerely,

    ***** *****
