    I was interested in moving in the apartment and deposited a security deposit of $1,800 to hold the apartment while they made some fixes and repairs I requested prior to signing the lease.

    Fast forward 3 weeks (2 days before move-in date) they lied about the repairs that were done so I requested to inspect the apartment one final time prior to signing the lease and I shortly found that none of the fixes/repairs were done. I decided that the property management wasn’t meeting my expectations and promises that were made so I requested my deposit back on 11/30/2023. It is no 12/24/23 and I still have not received my deposit back. No one is getting back to me and refuses to return my calls.

    I officially filed a complaint through the state website to come to a conclusion and will be requesting interest back since they’re holding onto my money without my permission and interest-free. If I don’t hear back, I will be filing a small court claim soon.

    On 12/16/2022 my car has been unlawfully towed by ***** **** **** * ******* ***., claiming: "No sticker." On 12/19/2022 I went to pick up the car and told to the clerk in the office that "I believe my car has been towed wrongly for I had the parking permit on the dashboard."
    I was told that probably I was not paid up on the parking permit and the clerk called the property management where I live. They verified that I was in good standing order but I still had to pay $110.00 for the car to be released.
    As soon as I approached the car, without entering it, I snapped couple pictures of the dashboard through the windshield and took the photos back to the office, showing that indeed the permit was properly displayed in the right corner of the dashboard.
    Presenting her with the proof of my permit properly displayed didn't change her mind, and didn't give my money back.
    She stated that the "driver only looks for the rearview mirror, and doesn't check anything else", basically saying, they don't make sure they do a proper job. According to the Hartford Parking Authority:
    "A visitor permit shall be placed on the passenger side dashboard."

    To whom it may concern,

     

    Our firm is contracted by 280H LLC to tow vehicles that do not have a parking permit properly displayed on the vehicles rear view mirror.   Property Manager, Brenda advised that once the tenant is provided a parking tag, they are advised that the tag must be hung on the rear view mirror and visible in order to avoid being towed.  Our company has been directed by the property manager to drive through the parking lot and tow vehicles that do not have a parking tag displayed on the rear view mirror.  The drivers will not exit the tow truck to check the vehicles dash or interior for parking tags not properly displayed.  As a result of this complaint, the property manager did mention that she is sending out a mass email reminding the tenants of the proper procedure for displaying parking tags.  Any additional questions Janos P****** may have should be directed to the Management personnel.

    My apartment that i lived in (***** **** ***** ***** ** *****) from may 2, 2021 was leased to me by ** ******** ********** with $1800.00 security deposit on jun 2, 2022 i had ended my lease by finding a better apartment because since i moved i had problems with pest i have pictures and videos of apartment conditions. They never did any maintenance. They sold the property to (280H llc) couple months b4 the time i returned keys on jun 2nd, 2022 they told me i was supposed to receive check in week. After multiple calls and appointments. I received it in almost two months later with a total amount of $380.00 and was told to come back to talk about balance and locked me out of management office said they only do appointments. I called and called only to be told they had to paint whole apartment over. Which is a lie the apartment is in perfect condition same way i had gotten leased in. I have proof for my defense. Please can you consider my situation because this isnt right call by management especially when they never introduced themselves as new management no look at what they brought like inspection to even know what the apartment was before they brought it.

    The security deposit for this tenant was not returned due to the condition the unit was left in. The entire unit had to be repainted due to the condition of the walls. Tenant could not provide proof the unit was given to him in this condition therefore his claim against us is false. Please advise if anything further is needed.
