  A guy sold me a replacement asphalt driveway. His business card is from Wethersfield, CT. But the company was falsely identified. Salesman said he would do an incredible job. Peter D******** came to do the driveway on 7/31. Peter, handed over his biz card from *******. On 7/19/2024, I had ALREADY paid $5K ****** for the job to start under the pretense they were a ** company. (biz card attached). On 7/31 They wanted $7K more before the pour. They refused to take a check. I was already in for $5K & they said if I cancel, I can't get my money back. So, I went to the bank and pulled out $7K. All the rigs had ******* plates. They did a horrible job. Peter, the owner with the ** plates said, he's coming back to smooth it all out. He NEVER came back. At the end of the job, 8/1, again he didn't want the Check to "Peter Doughtery." He wanted cash or the check to be made out to cash. He put a foot in the door, came into my house, and said he won't leave until I write the check to Cash. I am one woman, with a girl child, and no one else living here. I assumed he took inventory because he looked in my windows and got up on a ladder, "without anyone else living here but you, I'll be back to do replairs.." I said 'NO! ' Once he got his $$ he left. A few weeks later the cold August 2024 rains washed away the asphalt, I called and asked for them to come back out in Aug, Oct, Nov. The Salesman (not Peter) answered & said they'd be out in Nov before the frost heaves. They NEVER came. The driveway continued to wash away, crumbled, & we're still tracking asphalt and tar(?) into our home. I called in March 2025, we're coming up to 7 months.. no answer. Left msgs. I called in April.& left msg; Today I called. Got a "phone is restricted from receiving voice mails." I'm ******* out of a Great Driveway that will last for years and years to come. I want them to pay for a Reputable Asphalt Company to replace their mess.

  Peter G***** of Dougherty Asphalt LLC, **** ***** ***** **** ************* ** approached me at my home of ** *********** **************** on 8- 13 24 while I was cutting my grass. Peter said my driveway needs serious work. He told me that he could do paving work on my driveway for $12,000. I told him I could not afford $12,000. He said he could do the top part of the driveway for $6000. The existing driveway was put down a few years ago & therefore on the entire existing driveway he would burn away weeds and fill cracks or bare areas with tar & then go over the existing driveway with sealant so that the bottom of the driveway would match with the newly paved top portion of the driveway. When job was finished he told me that I owed him $9,800 due to the sealant that was put on the existing portion of the driveway. I was upset since that was not the original agreed price $6,000. I paid Peter of Dougherty Asphalt with a credit card $9,800 on the date the driveway was completed but was misled about the amount. I requested a contract and was advised I would receive one. After several requests I received a contract about l month after driveway was done. The contract has a warranty of 48 months. In 11-2024, Peter of Dougherty Asphalt came to my house again & said he would seal my entire house foundation & fix the visible cracks in the foundation all around my house & stairways for $1,200. I told him I would give it some thought and decided I would have it done. Peter came back 11-13-24 said he completed the job & advised me that the price was now $1,250. The entire foundation was not sealed as agreed. Only a few cracks were repaired as well as the stairs. I advised Peter that I wanted a refund. I wanted my money back for overcharge of the driveway paving of $3,800 plus the $1,250 for unsatisfactory workmanship of the foundation. Although I contacted Peter several times by phone, I have not received a refund nor further communication from him or Dougherty Asphalt.
