    I utilized Talem Home care for my 24 hour live in. I agreed to their services if they would bill my Long-term Care insurance policy directly. The attached shows that they did not require my payment of services due to billing of Long-term care insurance. I discontinued there services, they required a $2600 security deposit. They now refuse to give me my security due to them not receiving payments in a timely manner. The payments were not received in a timely manner due to their inability to submit claim paperwork correctly. They have been paid for all of their services but refuse to give me back my deposit. The delay was 100% due to their own fault.

    I an writing to respond to the complaint above. This complaint is completely false, and in bad faith. This client evaded payment for over a year on services and had recieved payment directly from his insurance company that he did not pass on to us, as he was supposed to do according to our contract. It took us more that 12 months to collect payment on services rendered the year before. In addition we had been in communication with his financial advisor regarding the exact amount due, inclusive of the initial deposit provided, and all within the parameters of the executed service agreement.

    Unfortunately Talem is totally 100% misrepresenting the truth.  Talem agreed to accept assignment of the claim and submit all claims and get paid direct a deal with the LTC insurance carrier direct. .  Please note the paperwork sent to you previously.  This was from  Talem agreement to bill LTC.  Unfortunately Talem did not properly complete paperwork and submit daily notes and did not submit claims in a timely fashion.  Claims were 100% their responsibility this was agreed upon.  The also had the ability to call the LTC carrier to find out about the claim unfortunately they failed to do their job and are faulting me for their failures. An now want to keep my deposit.  This is elderly abuse!!!!!!   They take advantage of people by hiding behind their small print.    I will be sending a copy of the explanation of benefits showing they failed to submit bills properly timely and promptly .  Please do not hesitate to call my financial advisor who was helping me through this process.  ** ******** ************.  Please let me know what else is needed.

    My mom is 94 years old and has dementia, and I take care of her finances along with my brother. Talem was always aware my mom did not have a POA and are now refusing to speak to me. They are assessing late fees of $2,240.60 for an error they made with billing and are unwilling to correct it. When care for my mom was originally established, it was agreed Talem would charge $350 per day but she was billed $360. Also, without notification Talem raised their rate to $375 per day as of July 1, 2023, We did not agree with the charges additional charges but paid them anyway. Talem is now trying to assess late fees for payments billed incorrectly to my mom's long term care policy. Talem was notified of the errors in August of 2023 and never acted on it. Talem's deceptive practices are quite concerning since they are dealing with vulnerable elderly clients. Talem has been dealing with myself and my brother from the beginning and are now trying to take advantage of my mom by assesses late fees.

    Mrs ******* is not a client nor is she Power of Attorney for her mother who was our former client, and according to HIPAA regulations we can not elaborate on this client's situation regarding services. As soon as we began services, Mrs. ******* delayed all payments for care beyond 60 days. Mrs. ******* has admitted to withholding reimbursement of long term care insurance payments intended for Talem Home Care, inventing billing issues and other lies, including telling Talem staff that she is Power of Attorney for her mother. When pressed to provide the documents, she admitted to lying about being POA. Mrs. ******* regularly calls our office to insult and curse at the staff and Owner. Currently, Talem Home Care is pursuing unpaid fees as well as late fees in accordance with our contract with the client directly.
