    On March 11, 2024 I paid The National Society of Collegiate Scholars $97.00 to join after I received a letter from them in the mail. I did more research on them a realized and read that they were a scam, of no help with zero benefits . I contacted them immediately (less than one hour) to cancel and ask for a refund. I received an email the next day from Sabra (an employee) stating no I may not have a refund but I can cancel my membership. I did not receive ANY services from them and contacted them within the hour but they refuse to return my money.

    NSCS is an honor society with many lifetime benefits (********************************************), many of which are provided to members seconds after joining including access to personalized materials. ***** accepted the NSCS refund policy (****************************************************************) when she joined. She was informed about this policy by one of our team members promptly after she reached out about the charges.

    ***** can terminate her membership without refund, if she would like, by reaching out to the NSCS Member Success team at ********************************************* with that request.

    I am rejecting this response because: That is bad business and fraudulent. I contacted NSCS less than 1 hour after the $97.00 charge, I did not use their services or receive anything from them.  The practice of not refunding money to college students who never received any item, service or benefit from an organization is fraudulent and wrong.  I am on financial aid and grants and NSCS tells me that they will keep my $97.00 and I can cancel my membership if I want to.  Wow, thanks for the advocacy and looking out for college students.  Shameful "organization".

    After further review, our team discovered that ***** was awarded a chargeback through her bank and the $97 was already returned to her through this channel on April 17th, 2024. We will be terminating her membership effective immediately.

    I accepted an invitation to join this society on behalf of my daughter on May the 3rd, 2023. I called and spoke with someone regarding membership and was told to send an email which l never received a response. The package I signed up for included a certificate, various membership items, honor cords, an account for access to various scholarship opportunities, scheduling of an induction ceremony, and various events. I never received this package or items I purchased for $169.00 that was charged to my credit card on May 3rd, 2023. I have tried repeatedly to call, have left messages, sent emails, all to no avail. There are assurances of responses within a few days, yet I have received none. On September 28th, 2023 I then am notified that my membership account has been deactivated. Now I have no access to the supposed benefits my child was to receive from such a "reputable business"! This company is a scam preying upon college students and parents who want to better their education and experience while at university. They purposely do not have any customer service or interaction in order to avoid liability, and do not deliver on their promises. Honestly their reviews much be false i.e. paid for. I am ashamed their name was even associated with that of my child, or the university she attends as it is a stain on the character of such a highly sought after institution. The fact they will outright steal and not answer for it is disgusting in this day and age.
