      I received my matriclan kit, completed my swab and mailed it in. It took about 4 weeks or so later to receive my results. They state your results could be non African. I was happy to find out my results came back to the Mende tribe.After reading some reviews, I think there may be disappointment that the results weren't what they wanted/expected and are blaming the messenger. I love that African Ancestry destroys your samples after testing. Some other DNA companies have been purchased by unknown entities and now who knows what those samples are used for. I look forward to doing a patriclan test on a male relative in the future.

      African Ancestry is an amazing company that helps black people find their roots in ******. They tell you specific ethnic groups that you share ancestry with . It is not their fault if the test result is not African though. African Americans are mixed because of history and they only test one branch at a time. They have ******+ Dna samples and are extremely accurate.

      I have had a great experience with African Ancestry. My test results were provided in a timely fashion, I have received a great deal of information and have been welcomed into a large community of people who, like me, desire to learn more about and embrace their ancestral heritage.       Im so grateful for this companys work. I was able to connect my grandmother with our roots and it was the missing piece to a puzzle for our family. We didnt realize wed experience so much fulfillment with this one DNA test. But here we are getting dual citizenship & finding out the similarities we have with a Tribe we knew nothing about growing up. I recommend EVERYONE to find your roots thru African Ancestry & complete your familys puzzle.

      This company has changed my life for the better. I am so grateful for them and their work. I did my research for a while before moving forward and I'm glad i did. To many do not do their due diligence and make unjust claims all due to misunderstanding the work and the science! No one person or company is perfect , but i will always support those who move with integrity and truth! ??

      This company is the missing link to our stolen identity. They tell you that in some cases your dna might not come back as African. For someone whose identity came back as African I am indebted to their dedication in finding the missing link to our Ancestry. To those who got non African results I feel your pain, but this has nothing to do with African Ancestry,

      I am very satisfied with my results!! I only did my maternal side and immediately broke into tears!! Everything made sense!!! With this company, you dont get an estimate or a percentage of countries your ancestors came from; if you have African blood, then you get the actual tribe of your ancestors and what country they/you hail from. So, now, I can further my research and plan to go to ******* with African Ancestry, whenever theyre traveling there. I paid for an extraordinary experience to finally fill in the missing pieces of my lineage, being that we, as descendants of slaves, have NO identity or lineage. Im truly appreciative that this company has assisted me in this journey!! Wasnt cheap, but well worth it!

      LIFE CHANGING!!! I took my AA maternal test and received my results 2021 and traveled to ************ in 2022 to become a citizen via AA and the trip was life changing!!Im thankful that my results came back African. Please note that African results are not guaranteed. Please also keep in mind:You have two sets of grandparents and therefore 4 paths to your oldest lineages. If you take a test, especially a paternal test and it comes back as a country from ******, understand that there was alot of **** during slavery. That painful reality of your lineage is not AAs fault. Heres how confusion is created. The other company with one A swabs you to tell you everything you are mixed with RIGHT NOW and even those results are suspect because my percentages kept changing. This company, African Ancestry, tells you your oldest ancestral lineage in your line, this is a different test. In my case the oldest MOTHER beyond my mother was Mende from ************. Alot of mixing of nationalities has happened since then which is why that other place is going to give me a gazillion countries im mixed with (now). Which is why its possible for your results to come back ***** but your skin is dark. It means your African Ancestry started after what was likely **** in that paternal line. If youre able to take two tests and have other family members take the remaining two tests are your behalf thats best. AA can give you more details on how to have results for all 4 lines. Youre guaranteed to be happy if you understand the science and do you part to test as many lines as possible.

      I have struggle for many years to knowing my complete history and where I came from.. Ive had other DNA testing, which are good, but I really wanted to know who my Tribe is in ******. Thanks to africanancestors.com. It was such a pleasure to finding out who I am and knowing the rest of my African history. It was quick, Easy and my results came back fast.
