Clean choice Energy is a Scam. They continue to mail advertisements designed to look like a bill, and it shows "second attempt". I have never done business with them and never will. I would like to be removed from the mailing list immediately. Everything they send goes into recycle bin. I've stopped opening their letters. Please get them to stop. Thanks.Business Response

I have been receiving mail from this organization for years. I do not have gas service and I live in a community where electricity is municipal and we cannot choose our provider. Even if I had a choice of energy providers, knowing what I know about this organization, I would not use their services. ANYWAYS - I have contacted them multiple times at this point to request that I be removed from their mailing list and have never received any response, but continue to receive mail. From looking at other customer complaints, this appears to be the only way to get a response from CleanChoice. I want CleanChoice energy to remove me from their mailing list immediately. Assuming that CleanChoice responds, I would like for this complaint not to be marked as "resolved" until 90 days have passed after my final letter from CleanChoice, to ensure that they actually remove me from their mailing list. (From reading other complaints, it takes up to 90 days for removal from the mailing list to process). My last letter received by CleanChoice was on 1/27/2023, and my most recent request for them to stop mailing me was sent 1/12/2023 after receiving a letter the same day.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.After submitting the complaint, I received an unsolicited marketing email from CleanChoice (it appears as though they now add you to their email list if you submit via their web form). I replied to it, and actually received a response. That person informed me that on March 3, 2023, I was set to "Do Not Mail" in their system.I would like to wait 90 days from March 3 to ensure that I don't receive any further mailings, but otherwise I am satisfied and appreciate actually getting a response after trying multiple times unsuccessfully. Not sure why they were mailing in my area to begin with considering our electricity is municipal with no option to choose suppliers, but...that's neither here nor there, I suppose.

This company will not stop sending out paper notices to my address. The notices appear as bills, which is extremely dishonest and unethical in my opinion, and come addressed to both myself and my girlfriend (whose name the utility is also under). There is no easily accessible form or phone number to call in order to remove oneself from their mailing list. This is terrible for a company that claims to be environmentally conscious. I would like these notices to stop coming in the mail.Business Response

I switched to clean choice energy in Oct when they sent someone at my door when reading the electric meter. But my bill skyrocketed since then. I only found out recently that they didn't successfully transfer after I sign the contract. I am looking for them to reimburse the past 4 months' difference/overcharge, beside they typical welcome credit. My rate has changed from 0.15/kWh to 0.445/kWh. It is a total of ~$700 overcharge for the last 4 months (Oct~Jan). Willing to pay a reasonable rate versus the 0.445. 0.445 is unheard ofBusiness Response
