On 10/03/2023 I contact AGFED Credit Union to pay my auto payment over the phone (my preferred method which I use every single month). When I called in, I completed the two step verification which included a pass code sent to my iphone that I verified with operator. When the operator went to take payment I asked what my exact payment was and then was bombarded with another set of verification questions. Most of the questions revolved around the AGFED bank account all members are required to have upon loan approval. The questions were mostly irrelevant to me but there were a few which forced me to open my estatements and try to find the answers - half of which were not even on my statement - like the due date for example (I almost always pay early so didnt know when the due date was). I could not find it on any of the statements or anywhere in account. After talking to two different AGFED employees, they locked my account telling me I failed to prove who I was. I was told someone would call me in the next day or so because apparently after being on the phone for ages their supervisors all went home. So now I am blocked from making my own loan payment - even though I had verified who I am which may cause me to be late/harm my credit. I seriously doubt anyone is calling in to pay my bill. I have NEVER had this issue before, nor have I ever had to go through multiple verification processes after initial two-step verification. It feels like now that my loan is nearly paid off, this company is trying to make making payments more difficult.
