My friend, a Veteran of the Vietnam war, was diagnosed with a condition known as panniculitis, its where one or several hernias bust through the stomach lining causing a large sack of intestines and organs to hang very low. This is very rear and causes lots of health issues, and can lead to death. For 6 years this man has been trying to ask for the VAs help to try removing this panniculis and reconstructing his stomach lining along with hes genitalia (because the panniculis took with it everything). He had sepsis in his testicles causing them to expand bigger than a basketball as well. The VA refused the surgery for 6 years. This man has been carrying around a deadly condition for 6 YEARS! Until ************** took over and gave him the surgery. They removed everything, put his organs and intestines back and reconstructed his stomach lining, reconstructed his p**** because they had to remove everything including the skin that would have covered his his p**** if it hadnt already been torn away from his p**** because of the panniculis dragging everything down. They also had to remove his testicles completely. The VA continuously had every single excuse as to why they wouldnt perform the surgery, including his spine being messed up for the rest of his life if they had done the surgery. However, ***** successfully performed the surgery and did it with no excuses. My friend didnt go through summa or any hospital other than the VA or if the VA suggested hospital visits, because otherwise hed have to pay a premium. And thats exactly what he had to do to survive, because they told him by the hospital, he wouldnt survive another year without the surgery. Still, the VA blatantly refused to have anything to do with it. My complaint is not that they refused, not that he has to pay his ******** a premium, but because he reached out to the VA to ask if they could provide an extended shower head , and they told him that they could, only if he had nothing to do with Summa.
