I purchased 3 treatments for tattoo removal and purchased 3 more sessions. However, session #4 resulted in no expected adverse reactions because the treatment wasn’t administered properly. I immediately called it in and Emmanuelle repeatedly dismissed me saying that it’s not true. She asked me to wait 8 weeks because that’s how it takes for the tattoo to lighten. I explained to her that the tattoo will not lighten because the treatment wasn’t done properly and the tattoo area isn’t even pink.
Giving her the benefit of the doubt was a mistake because by asking me to wait 8 weeks, she was actually timing me out of filing a dispute through the credit card company. She then says that session 4 was lower than session 3. I asked her to pause and explain why would session 4 be lower in intensity when session 3 when I have built up my tolerance. She took a second to think and said “actually session 4 was the highest”. I told her that we need to stop talking and now I want this in writing.
Over emails, she doubled down on her new story and responded with “go somewhere else then”. She then started refer to the agreement form saying that “they give no absolute guarantees for how many sessions it’ll take for the tattoo to lighten” but she keeps misrepresenting it to say “they give no guarantees [that the treatment would be done properly]”. She then asked me for proof that there was no difference between session 3 and 4 - when I sent her a photo, she stopped responding.
Since she timed me out of my dispute, the only option was to ask for a refund. I called 4 times for the refund. The 5th time I called - she was finally there but she decided to charge me instead of refunding me.
I asked via email to reverse the charge and properly refund me. The owner replied that I’ll have to call for the 6th time and also couldn’t write the agreement back verbatim. No scientific explanation has been provided as to why I wouldn’t scab, bleed, or have pain. Also, MCE pays for positive reviews.

The office claims that if the treatment was rendered at the highest setting - it should result in no expected adverse reaction because of an agreement they downloaded the template for and do not know the meaning behind “no absolute guarantees”. They’ll claim that “no absolute guarantees” = “no guarantee” instead of explaining the physiology of a burn and doing a little thinking. I spent six months, made 4-5 phones calls, reached out to the Office of Attorney General and they still will not refund me. They’ll claim illiteracy and charge me instead of refunding me. I’m still waiting for the refund and some scientific explanation for why I did experience any adverse reaction from the treatment when I had redness, blistering, bleeding at much lower intensities. They’ll keep saying that I didn’t face any reaction because of their agreement? It makes no sense.
