I'm adding this review here, because it appears the owner has taken down my Google Review (and according to his Yelp reviews, has removed other negative reviews, too, which I find extremely shady). This is my review from my experience with Jayline's in August 2022:

I hired Jayline's to clean two area rugs after some recent flooding. In the interest of full disclosure, I had a disagreement with the owner about pricing transparency.

The good: Fredrick and his assistant were prompt and efficient. They were able to come out and perform services the day after contacting them. The rugs had sustained water damage, and a mildew smell was starting to set in. After a thorough cleaning, the stains were gone and the rug was dried.

The bad: I received an initial quote, over text, of $350 to clean two area rugs. Upon arrival, services were confirmed as $350 per rug, which seemed like a bait-and-switch. Because of the increased cost, I chose to only have one rug cleaned. My final bill was then over double what I was quoted in-person ($725 to clean one 7x10 area rug!). Fredrick assured me that the high cost was because they performed a full restoration of the rug, removing the smell entirely, not just a basic cleaning. Now, the high bill wouldn't have been a problem IF the services had worked. Unfortunately, two hours after the cleaning concluded, a strong mildew smell came back. Now a day later, it is still there, rendering the rug unusable, and I will have to toss it. Expensive lesson learned.

I am leaving a one-star review because the services requested did not work, and were surprisingly pricey. I would really like folks to support small businesses, but my advice to potential customers is to ask more questions about the pricing up front, as there are certainly less expensive options out there. And if you do go with Jayline's, be prepared to pay a lot for a service that may or may not stick.
