    I have been trying to get out of my contract for 2 years. I am law enforcement and just retired. I can no longer afford this. Wyndham told me when I reached that point then they would take back my membership. Of course, they probably lied during the sales presentation. But timeshare sales people for Wyndham are ALLOWED TO LIE. Then Wyndham sent me garbage mail to donate to a place called ARDA? ARDA is just a front for the timeshare companies. Both fueled by greed and NOT WILLING TO HELP YOU OR I!

    From my understanding, ARDA is a consortium of realtors (mainly timeshares) that was created to establish some rules and ethics of the timeshare industry. The problem is that it is mostly ceremonial and a creation of the timeshare industry to act like they are policing themselves. Example: We asked for ARDA's help with Royal Holiday and they really can't do ANYTHING other than ask Royal Holiday to contact us. Royal Holiday is acting unethically and their customer service rep said (over a recorded line) that I was not getting out of my timeshare...as though they are holding me hostage.
