This company has a lot to be desired. *** ******* the owner does not get back to you. He does not return calls or text messages. *** takes your money and runs.
I hired Construction Unlimited to install a kitchen floor. The floor was being laid over top of a ceramic tile floor, with some cracked tiles. A sub floor was not put down. Some of the cracked tiles were replaced with new tile. The new wood laminet floor was laid in April 2022. At first things seemed fine. The first problem that I had was the trim in the foyer and between the living room and kitchen. Wood moulding was put down. It was set in a plastic strip and pushed into it, The wood kept popping off of the plastic track. I contacted *** several times about the problem. He finally came out and looked at the problem. *** said he would have it fixed and ordered a new piece of plastic strip. When his worker came to fix the area he said that *** ordered the wrong material. *** never said anything about there being a charge. After the work was complete the worker handed me a bill for $36. I refused to pay it. *** ordered the wrong material and the worker had to go to the shop and pick up the correct material. *** called and said that I didn't owe him anything. The problem was not really fixed the wood still popped off. The area between the living room and kitchen *** came and took the piece of wood and i never heard back from him, he didn't return my contacts to him. The kitchen floor had on going problems that I discussed with *** the same day that he took the piece of wood. Boards were warping, coming off., I was getting frustrated with *** due to his lack of attention. When *** found out that I was contacting the BBB I was told that he was sending one of his workers over. The worker came and the next day worked on the floor. It appears that some of the damaged wood was used to make the repairs. The refrigerator was pulled out and now there are two scratches in the new wood. *** once said "Screw her" .
