*** ******* installed gutter guards on my elderly mother's house for $4100, which she was overcharged and he did a terrible job (guards are falling out of the gutters and it has only been 2 months). *** came back a month later, unsolicited, asking if she needed anything else, how the guards were holding up, etc. She had a leak in her house, pointed out to *** that the guards were coming out, not lining up in the gutters. For 2 hours he pretended he did some work outside, came in and gave her a bogus invoice for work that was not performed for $8100.00. She was clearly upset, so he reduced it to $7100.00. There is no way $8100 worth of work could have been performed by two men in two hours with no purchased materials. He prayed on an elderly person, knowing full well that he was scamming her. We contacted him, he basically admitted it and he agreed to refund half of the $7100 and never did. Please do not hire ***'s Contracting or the other name he goes by, JF Contracting. I see there have been other complaints against him.

I initially contacted the company on January 22,2022 for roof repair and brick and mortar repair. As of August 20, 2022, the project is extremely botched. My roof is still leaking and when I stand in my attic, I can clearly see through the gaps between the bricks. The spaces between the bricks were filled with the yellow foam caulk , shaved down and mortar placed over it. I was told that the gaps were too big and needed to be filled with the yellow caulk first. Although the initial contract stated damaged bricks would be removed, I was told that that was a mistake on the contract. Not only did they show up periodically or had to leave for various reasons, they constantly demanded money and argued with me for the remaining money when I already paid $23,000 out of $30,000. The initial quote was for $22,000.00 which included a small roof removal and repair and brick and mortar repair. I was told that after I signed the contract that there's an additional cost of $6000.00 to replace the damaged wood that was never replaced.

The cost isn't the problem, it's the general quality of work and customer service. Money was frequently requested and was told that they didn't have a ladder tall enough and needed to purchase it to finish the job. However, stated that they need the remaining funds because the job is done. They never provided me with receipts of material purchases or a breakdown of how the funding was allocated.

The final project is a disaster. Not only do I now have to hire someone to actually do the initial job, I now have to pay for someone to repair the drywall in my attic, in my hallway and down my stairs. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They really took advantage of me and have yet to resolve the problem.
