    broke my Prometheus XVI screen the other day they offered me $300 for the screen replacement. so i ordered the screen. took my screen out and found the product code for the screen and found the same screen on eBay for $120 and its the same screen from a Lenovo legion. so i contacted electronics about returning the screen and they want me to pay for a restocking fee and the restocking fee is for me to buy the shipping label from UPS and its going to cost me $130 to ship it. overall this is beyond ridicules for the price and the shipping of the item.

    I bought my first Eluktronics laptop in April 2019. I have been absolutely satisfied with the customer service I've received. Every time I've called their support number, an actual person answers the phone who is able to answer my question immediately. They're not farming out their customer service. The people who answer the phones are the people building the laptops. I emailed them a question this morning and had a reply in 18 minutes. Some of the LED lighting on my mouse went out and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. When I was having issues with my laptop after about 7 months, I shipped it back to them (they paid postage), and after they determined that the motherboard went bad they just sent me the newer, updated, limited edition model, no questions asked, and even sent it to me with 2-day shipping at no additional charge just because I lived way out in California. I've owned laptops by Dell, Gateway, and Acer, and in my experience there is absolutely no comparison when it comes to Customer Service. Eluktronics is A+ tier and in a completely different league!

    I've purchased 2 gaming laptops from this company which I game on daily. They are amazing and beat everything else I've seen out there pound for pound on price to power comparison.

    I went with bare bone laptops that I outfitted myself with CPU, Memory, Storage and they have been great.

    I will most likely use them again when I get ready to purchase a higher end system.

    I am really surprised at all the bad reviews as I have also dealt with their customer support and they have helped me above and beyond what I would expect out of a custom gaming laptop shop when it comes to questions and getting a hold of spare hardware for potential replacements down the line like extra batteries, internal fans.

    Hardware is tricky and the suppliers they use are not going to be perfect so I'm sure sometimes things will break down hence the bad reviews here, but as far as I'm concerned they have been great and I will use them again.

    AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!

    I purchased an Eluktronics Prometheus laptop for $3k in September 2021 and 14 months later, I have incurred an additional $1.2k in repair expenses for a laptop that has erased all of my data and will not turn on.

    The last repair I shipped the PC in was for a repair to the Power port. When it returned, it had a BitLocker encryption prompt (that I did not set up) and started smoking when plugged to a wall outlet. It is now entirely unusable 14 months after purchase.

    They accept zero responsibility and say the issues are from user error.... when it reality they are from cheaply made product. The exterior material for this laptop could be found in McDonald's toys. Truly the worst-quality piece of hardware I have ever purchased, paired with historically awful customer support.

    I don't understand how they have so many positive Amazon reviews when everybody I know that has purchased from Eluktronics has had serious issues.
