I had booked an air ticket in 2022, which was canceled later because of leg injury to me. I provided them medical doctor letter as well as I had travel insurance with them. So they offered me a travel voucher to be used later. I am trying to use one of the last travel voucher and they are trying to cheat me. - The travel voucher value is $4712/-. - They are asking me to book three tickets to use full value of the value - If I book three tickets, they will charge me new airfare at $4,566- - However, if I book, only one ticket, they are charging me $9,000/- for the same flight and same sector of travel - None of this was communicated when the voucher was issued

      Business Response

      Date: 07/16/2024

We would like to respond with the following addressing customer's claim:

On June 9, 2024, Mr. ******** expressed a desire to book three round-trip tickets for the peak season in December and January next year. These options were presented as bundled deals, with specific pricing details as follows:

Business class seats: Initially quoted at $6,573 per person for three passengers.
Mixed class + Premium economy: Options were priced at $5,350.84 (option 1 with mixed class of service) and/or at $4,566.84 (option 2 with Premium-economy seats).

Subsequently, on June 11, 2024, Mr. ******** requested to apply for the voucher only for one person, Ms. ******* ******. The price for one ticket as later quoted was $6,704.94. The customer was reminded that the voucher was issued with specific conditions, applicable for international travel in the same or higher cabin class, ***** diligently communicated these conditions to Mr. ******** during their correspondence. ***** clarified that the voucher could only be applied to the highest or equal fares, in accordance with Voucher Terms and Airline restrictions. ***** reiterated this condition and explained that while booking multiple seats might offer a better deal, however the fare for a single passenger could be more expensive. Throughout the process, ***** consistently directed Mr. ******** to review the terms and conditions of the voucher, which was disclosed from the start, in order to secure the best possible deal within the given parameters.
Despite initially offering a discounted rate for booking three tickets, Mr. ******** expressed dissatisfaction with the higher fare under the conditions applicable for booking a single reservation. The agent's actions to adhere to the voucher's terms and ensure transparency were in accordance with established rules, with no intention to deceive the customer. Our agent is currently in communication with the customer, helping to find more suitable options.

Attached you can find the referenced options (pages 1-3) and the Voucher itself (page 4).

      Thank you.
