This company is horrible. I recently moved in May to DE and had to use Pep up for my heating service. My bill had been averaging 25 a mint until May. While I expected an increase due to cold weather I did NOT expect an increase of 497.00!!!!!!! I called to discuss and was told that they received several similar calls and will call back. THEY NEVER DID. I called back and was told that the person who read the meters was ill and the December reading was not taken. They then stated they used estimates from last year but since I was not here for a year they used average of the surrounding homes which did not make sense and they had a hard time explaining when questioned. They talked in circles first about usage then gallons and they ended up just blaming it on the cold weather. They have no intentions of really resolving this matter. My concern also that the area are mostly retired folks who are also probably getting overcharged and can’t defend themselves. This company is a real scam and one one you should avoid. I continue to fight this perhaps go to the news to get more results. This can’t just happen.

Hi Jerry, and thank you for reaching out. We understand your frustration, and our District Manager, Ashlie, is sending a technician out to re-read your meter to make sure everything is correct. The reason you may be seeing an increase in price is because this bill is from November 9 - January 12, and there was a 30 cent increase in price per gallon due to high demand. We do offer payment plans that average your payments across an entire year, which can help alleviate high winter costs. You can find more about that here: https://pepupinc.com/propane-prices-payment-plans/

Pep up in millford de is a HORRIBLE company. They have falsely charged me for heating services without providing an accurate reading. Instead they used average of other homeowners in the surrounding areas and and came up with so logic that did not make sense and could not explain when questioned. My average bill has been 25 for the past 6 months and while I would have expected an increase due to colder weather to have it increased to 497.00!!!!! Just does not make any sense nor could that have explained it. This place is taking advantage of thier custard perhaps those who are older that can’t defend themselves. I can’t tell you how I recommend never using this company or any of its affiliates

Customer with Tri-gas for 7 years.. No problems. We had a $12 dollar balance with Pep Up.. $12 Dollars !! Came down to our happy place to find they removed our tank with our gas in it. When I called to talk to a rep they said they took back their tank... the value of our gas was use to pay for removal. We did not receive any notice or warning of removal. Wait it gets better... We now need to pay a reactivation fee plus pay to fill another tank. $79 service fee and over $100 to fill a tank. So $12 = Close to $200. Plus the loss of our gas we paid for. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.

I am posting this for my mom. In 2017 she started service in July. The propane is for indoor fireplace only. For the last 4 years the tanks were filled in the fall. In July 2022 they tried to charge her an $85 fee for not maintaining the min. If they would have filled her up from her last fill date she would have met the requirement. Who fills propane for a fireplace in the summer. Also she was told they won't fill it unless the tank is 30% or lower. THAT PART IS NOT IN THE CONTRACT ! We understand she started her contract in July 2017. But they have filled it in the fall every year after that. It is Not right she only had 7 months to fill contract. Again if they would have filled it from the last time filled, she would have met the agreement. We have every receipt, and contract. They will continue to Steal money from people.

In response to Ms. *****: I apologize for your inconvenience. Your mother's account was set up on an automatic delivery. Auto delivery is based on several things. Temps for the day, appliances using propane and delivery history. This generates a delivery when the tank is at 30%. She was delivered to once a year in December. Historically took 52-57 gallons. The tank agreement signed by your mother agreed to burn and reorder 100 gallons annually before a fee is assessed. Over the last few years, we did drop the minimum use from 100 gallons to 70 gallons. Although her gallon usage was still never met, she did not receive the bill. This year she took 47 gallons for her fill, and the bill was sent. Our 30% baseline is to maximize the use of our trucks on the road without concerns that our customer will run out. I am sure you understand the cost of fuel to run these trucks, especially these days.
