On approximately August 10 or 11, 2023 I used the online website of Screens for Less to request a quote on rescreening my screened patio. I received an email response from Mr. ****** ******* of Screens for Less on August 13, 2023 that he could do the work for $1,200.00. He even said he could squeeze me into his schedule on August 25. He further said that if I was in agreement he would send a formal quote with a way to make a down payment. I responded that same day by email that I needed to check whether HOA approval was necessary.
On August 14 I sent an email to Mr. ******* that HOA approval was not needed. He responded that same day that he had sent by email an invoice and that as soon as I made the down payment of $600.00 he would get me on the schedule for August 25. That same day I used his online tool to send the $600.00 and received a receipt for it by email. That same day I sent a short email to inform Mr. ******* that I had sent the deposit and just needed to know what time to expect him on August 25.
On August 15, 2023 I sent another email to Mr. ******* early that morning to inform that I needed to cancel the work. I had received a phone call that same morning from the builder’s manager in my community that our patio screens would be replaced at their cost. As a side note, I explained this situation in my original email to Mr. ******* and that I believed the builder was reneging on rescreening the patios in my vicinity. There was a long lapse with communications from the builder and is the reason I moved ahead in contacting Screens for Less.
I sent two additional emails to Mr. ******* but have not received responses or any other communications since August 14, 2023. I tried calling but the voicemail box is full and not accepting messages.
At this writing the patio has been rescreened by the builder. I just would like my $600.00 deposit returned. Thank you.
